There's no "cap" to crit, there's just a point at which the marginal return of crit becomes less than the marginal return of power, since crit suffers from diminishing returns and power does not. Also, it is important to think of DR on crit in terms of crit rating not percent crit chance, which can be affected by strength, buffs, talents, etc, none of which change the marginal gain of a point of crit rating when considering substituting it for power. The added benefit of your 148th point of crit rating is no different if you have 2000 strength or 200 strength, so looking at crit as a percent can lead you in the wrong direction. That being said, my crit rating is only 147 now (compared to 828 power without use of a stim), which is just over 29% crit full buffed without a stim. My pieces supplying crit are 2 +41 mods, 1 +41 enhancement, and +24 from my matrix cube (this is my current gear for reference). I've been debating flipping one +41 power mod for a +41 crit mod, which would give me 1.4% more crit, which still seems like a lot, but I don't think I would go past that, since the gain of crit is diminished by beserk uptime as you said, and I don't have any kind of dps sim to justify that decision, so I haven't done it yet. |
