RE: Vengeance DPS Compendium
Quote:Just a quick thought on this build. I really am up in the air about Ravage. It's been nicely buffed but unlike Marauders, we have no way of making sure the 'target' simply doesn't walk away from it.Quote:Agreed, this is my PvE spec : http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#101MMZcGMRMuddukZrM.1 That is unless you spec.... Immortal. In immortal I have 2 ways of making sure Ravage has a much, much higher chance of completing. But, if you use the build you listed above, I strongly recommend dropping the point in Sundering Throw and moving it to Deafening Defense. You are losing 2% resist across the board, and a staggering 7.5% resist while using Enraged Defense. If you love that point in Sundering Throw, keep it, but I strongly recommend you find a way to get a second (very valuable) point in Deafening Defense. I am finding in 1.2 my Jugg melts very quickly even with good gear. It's at a point where I'm constantly spamming Enraged Defense. I can only imagine the amount of damage per Warzone that the single extra point in Deafening Defense soaks up.... but your mileage my vary. Just wanted you to consider that option. |

RE: Vengeance DPS Compendium
So, a question if I may..
Which set-bonus are you guys going for? Is it a PvP or a PvE Set that is the goal, and if it is a PvE-set, which PvP set would you advice I try to farm up as I grind? This is of course meant as a question regarding a 7/33/1 Vengeance Juggernaut.. |

I also wrote that I would not go into PvP with a full vengeance spec and that I don't know about a single spec for guardians that is good for both PvP and PvE (actually you might work something with full immortality). So, tell me why are you making comments about its viability for PvP? It is not and is not meant to be for a ton of reasons. Firstly, it does not have all the good PvP talents in vengeance (pooled hatred and unyielding) than vengeance lacks both control and burst which are the most important thing to have in PvP. That said, I really don't know what is better for PvE ... pooled hatred or unstoppable. |

I'd stack mostly Power and Surge, but do take crit to at least 30% otherwise. Adrenals and Relics: Power. It has no diminishing returns, so will always be a flat increase to your burst. Crit/Surge is a fine alternative, but Alacrity really affects Ravage. I'd say with proper spec and rotation, a rakata base Vengeance/Vigilance will put out highly competitive dps. Top tier to be sure. |

RE: Vengeance DPS Compendium
For your Amusement/Information, a (kinda) technical look at how the Vengeance Juggernaut, how it works for me
![]() I am missing one Rakata Item, no new trousers for me , and I just logged my raid last night, Nightmare Karaggas Palace and Eternity Vault. I was Raiding in 4/32/5. For those that are curious about my Jugger And the Log, maybe a little cramped, i did not clean it up and my rotation is not always perfect, but it works for me. First entry in the log is a ~6 min dummy test drive (raidbuffed, Power Stimmed and with Power adrenalin), I took 6 Min because thats the length of a nm Bossfight. Afterwards some random Tatooine Action . The first Bossfight starts at 19:40.Oh and I should say I prioritize Ravage over everything, except Sunder Armor & Saber Throw (Rage can be a bitch, so "gainer" before "drainer" if you will). Second most important is Shatter, the dot does insane amounts of damage and the first hit is as high as Force Scream, which comes afterwards, + you get the Crit buff for it. And fourth is my beloved Impale. Below 30% i try to "execute" as much as possible with a crit buffed Vicious Throw, special thanks to Savagery .

RE: Vengeance DPS Compendium
New to the forum and i may have missed this question but has any1 ever thought of cutting Ravages last attack short.... i cant say for sure if its a DPS increase or not but just a quick look on my recordings say the 1st 2 attacks of ravage happen in 1 second...sadly im in some tank gear as im just coming off being tank for guild but even then the 1st 2 attacks of Ravage seem to compare to an Impale (including its DoT) sorry if this was asked earlier just thought id throw it out there

RE: Vengeance DPS Compendium
Hi there,
I am kind of new at running operation as a Vengeance dps Juggernaut. Thus I have two questions for you regarding equipment: · Which 200 daily commendation relics you suggest? For my point of view, the +X Power and one passive is the best match. But which passive one? · Regarding bonus set, it seems to me that the PvE bonuses are kind of worthless whereas the PvP bonuses are more attractive. Thus I started to remod my 4 set centurion gear with Rattaka Armoring/Mod/Enhancement. Am I doing wrong? Regards, |

RE: Juggernaut | Guardian DPS Discussion
Malicious, get a Power and a Crit & Surge Relics.
The passive Relics are nice but you can sync two Relics with your Enrage skill. Thus having a more consistent Boost. The used Relic has a 2 Min CD, the unused only gets a 30 sec CD. So you can extend the Boost with a Power and a Crit & Surge Relic. If you want to Test this, get 2 Champion PVP Relics. They are cheap and you can test this way of handling the Relic problem. |

RE: Juggernaut | Guardian DPS Discussion
How has no one considered the rage/focus spec? I feel like that spec easily has much higher total DPS outputs in Warzones.
