I do Lost Island too, and I always use Resurgence -> Innervate or Resurgence -> Revivication or Dark Infusion if Innervate is on cooldown, but I only use it once before going back to my favorite combo.

I know your tank will take some damage, but if your tank is going below 30% in any encounter, something is not going right. Either interrupts aren't being done in a timely fashion or something like that. At least that's my experience in both Story and Hard Mode.
