but ladies and gentlemen - DO NOT optimize your gear right now. I have thrown away all original mods..and enchs..so i have to get all the bm gear one more time. It should have been a "warning"...:-) Strange system that allows customization of gear, that it punishes the ones who have done it. a pre-patch would be nice..where you could buy the mods given you have the bm gear (or get for free) or get a new piece of bm gear you already have. or put expertise on all the damn "wrong" mods in bm gear. i know, there are problems with doing all that also. well well, only a game. and given some time, you will get war hero gear instead. |

I had enough BM comms saved up for a full set of Battlemaster War Leader tank gear, so I went ahead and bought myself a set... ONE DAY before I found out, heheI'm back up to 3 comms so far get out there girls and boys and do your PvP!

Hello everyone,
My questions are related to Marauder/Sentinel post-1.2 and practically preparing for it. I have currently stacked an extra 8 BM comms and i am thinking of what mod changes i will go for post-1.2 (thus i would like to buy the gear beforehand). -Seeing as there is a switch to more crit/surge oriented mods post-1.2 in the Weaponmaster set and also taking into account the fact that (correct me if i'm wrong) the soft-caps have remained the same (apart from expertise), what is your opinion on stacking a few BM hands from Jugg gear containing Power/Surge enhancements to switch some crit/surge ones (22crti/53surge to 22power/53surge). I am aware of the fact that crit/surge work great together, but i do feel there is a bit over-the-top switch towards crit in the WH case. Thoughts? -Potent mod 26A(64str/41endu/30exp/12crit) vs Potent mod 26(51str/32endu/30exp/39crit) would also be a way to increase base dmg instead of enhancement switching and messing with the crit/surge synergy. Would that be preferable to point 1? -This is a long standing question of mine and i have seen many different replies here and in swtor forums: What would you consider the optimal accuracy % strictly for PvP for a mara/sent. I have through experience seen that ±96-97% works fine, but in case i could work with less i would go for it. Thanks for your time reading this. |

Rakata and Battlemaster gear on the PTS are currently the same as live. Still, the fact that you trade BM for WH remains, correct? I bought 2x white crystals +41 power for my marauder.
1) I'd like to know if war hero weapons, main hand and off hand, will allow me to insert my white crystals. 2) If I slot the white crystals in the new Battlemaster gear weapons, and later upgrade those weapons to war hero, will they keep the white crystal? |

I am not sure how it works, but my understanding is the game will take away your BM item (no matter if it has mods in it or not) and then give you the War Hero item in return.
