RE: Simulationcraft for Shadow/Assassin
Hello...long time reader first time poster.
I just want to make sure that I am understanding and following correctly. As Madness we should now be stacking Power/Surge with two mods that are Power/Accuracy. I have a question concerning Alacrity. As it directly impacts our DoT's why is it not considered a more important stat than Surge? If I have posted this question in the incorrect place my apologies. |

Since Assassins should never be casting it has 0 value. You are correct that Power and Willpower are by far our most valuable stats assuming you have 30%+ Crit Chance and 75%+ Crit Damage Bonus. The maximum to hit for a boss is 10% (110% for special attacks) though I'm not sure where the actual accuracy "sweet spot" is. NERFED Dreshdae Cantina

RE: Simulationcraft for Shadow/Assassin
Curious if 7/31/3 over takes 2/31/8 given that RNG is well...RNG. How does it rank in Simcraft vs Parsing in the PTS?

RE: Simulationcraft for Shadow/Assassin
Hey everyone, I've been reading everything you guys said, I'm currently a 2/31/8 spec with 6% armor pen, no Insulation. My set is everything columi stalker (the five pieces), 2 rakata stalker implants and the earpiece, critted rakata relic/belt/bracers (2x +28 crit, and +28 power).
Now after reading everything I have a couple questions, since I don't know how to use the simulationcraft thing you guys talk about... I want to squeeze the most dps I can, and I guess some people are reading and hesitating about asking questions too. Should I actually swap a stalker piece for a force master to get a resolve armoring, and some willpower? With 1.2, what are the changes people will have to do for Columi sets? swap out all the force wielder for resolve...? or swap out mods to remove some accuracy and get more power? Also, about specs.. I'm pretty confident that in a matter of 5 seconds, I could kill someone with a madness spec easily with stuns/burst damage of deception, but I'm now hesitating after reading all this. I understand it's more for pvp because of good burst and we get ~18k hp in pvp or someting.. What secondary stats should I be aiming for? I have 408 crit rating, 198 surge rating, 291 accuracy rating, 291 power rating.. Please help out :| |

Would that +30% crit chance and +75% crit damage bonus you are talking about be before or after raid buffs? |

RE: Simulationcraft for Shadow/Assassin
Would be before, and the surge should really just be a static 75% or 300 rating, after that the diminishing returns are way too high. And that of course assumes you are Balance or Hybrid, Deception benefits from crit as much as power, so stack as much of either as you want.
In raids, while in combat, you should see a crit of 45%+ (assuming 30% crit base) NERFED Dreshdae Cantina

I mean, I'm talking like Power = .6572xxx and Crit = .6372xxx Its very close. |
