The best Pre-Raiding set is the Expert/Endowment Biorestorative Set made by your favorite Amrormech (if there is one left on your server) preferrably as [Mastercraft] (And in combination with Karraga's Hat makes you look like right out of a West India Company's Expedition Force from 1900)
to be replaced next by Columni gear from Hard Mode Flashpoints and Normal Mode Operations for the Endurance required for HM/NM Operations and the Set Boni.
Alternatively you can sleep your way up the Valor ranks and start raiding in PvP gear with no problem.

@Smokeskin
How do you see the new changes then?

I'm also considering dropping having two BiS tables, really the difference is in the notes after them.

RE: Scoundrel/Operative Healer BiS (PvE)
Upon further consideration, I recommend removing the weight values from the first post. I included those mostly so that other people wanting to comment or critique on my analysis could weigh in. However, they don't include any stat bonuses from Datacrons, so they're not going to be 100% accurate for any given player, and I don't want them to be misconstrued.

Regardless, this list is fairly temporary anyhow. 1.2 is coming out in just a few weeks, and with it allegedly a new tier of gear. There's also reports that there will be crit crafted orange gear with augment slots, which will then become the BiS everywhere, and you're just going to socket in your raid drops.

Likely--yes, due to then also being able to extract armour mods from gear and with them set bonuses.

I have pretty much equipped all my gear according to your table one and I am happy with the result

RE: Scoundrel/Operative Healer BiS (PvE)
I love this post, but is there somewhere we can see some of the numbers on the harder to identify information.

For example, I was curious numbers wise what made the [Relic of Residual Mending] better then say the [Rakata Relic of Boundless Ages] for burst healing.

I did some quick crude calculations and see more potential in a power relic then the Residual Mending.

400 Health every 20 seconds
vs.
380 power for 20 seconds every three minutes.

The 380 power boosts the AOE Base heal by 100 points per tick, already thats more then the residual mending relic without even using another heal for 20 seconds.

I digress though, just curious if theres a spreadsheet or some numbers I could look at to see how you calculated this.

@Ebena - I don't do any of the calculations myself, I simply gather what others suggest into a post for people to find it. If you can get people to agree with your statement I will change it.

RE: Scoundrel/Operative Healer BiS (PvE)
So, my guild is not all geared yet... Therefore, it'll be a while before I get the mods listed as BIS for sustainable dps.

Are

Advanced Artful Mod 24A

Advanced Adept Enhancement 24

going to be my BiS mods until then?

What are my other options?

Thanks

RE: Scoundrel/Operative Healer BiS (PvE)
Just a point of note from the Scoundrel side of things: We can't use Blaster Rifles and we can't use Vibroknives.

I'm assuming based on our stat priorities that our best weapon and offhand would be
Main Hand: [Quickshot]
Off Hand: [Persuader]

They're Crit/Surge but our only other option is Aclarity/Power gear.

RE: Scoundrel/Operative Healer BiS (PvE)
Relic of Boundless Ages should be considered.
And orange belt & bracers are certainly missing, as are Columi crit-crafted implants and earpeace. Is this on purpose because they're a lot harder and more expensive to get?
