If the top wheel on the pylon boss is a 1 spin, the pylons will break and you will have to reset the instance. Will cost you the title run. This is not correctable by nssn, or ssss. it's fairly simple, just check and see if the last wheel is a 1 spin left or right on either pylon. if it is, sorry. it sucks, happened to us like 4 weeks in a row. major rage.
As far as 16v8, 8 is by no means necessarily easier. some general things to keep in mind - in 16 man, some bosses have 150% of the 8 man bosses health - meaning individuals don't have to do nearly as much dps per person in 16 as they do in 8 - despite doing way more individual dps. On most fights, annihlator and karagga being notable exceptions, the abilities on the fights do about the same amount of damage. As a result, a few specific fights end up being fairly tough on 8 - Soa, Fabricator, Jarg/Sorno for example, versus a couple fights being more difficult on 16 (annihilator/bonethrasher). I dunno, i've been doing it both ways. i've found 16 to be way more lax, and as a merc i do waaaay more damage when there's 3 merc debuffs and 2 marauders feeding me frenzies, than doing it in the 8 and having to essentially be perfect. a death, or some bad luck with healers in 8 can lead to a wipe pretty quick. never have that issue in the 16's, can be sloppy and half ass everything and still finish the whole place in an hour. 8 man just ends up being stressful and leaving me on edge. |
