2 things
PUGs are PUG, you should only consider to compare line-up for ranked warzone and not one class ability to another, so this doesn't disqualify all but Juggy player for Hutball ^^
and stuns(/knockback) are not an issue, resolve works very well in that regards (...)

Just to say that ranked warzone should be all around team strat and not one class ability to break the warzone, team play <> solo play

Ranked warzone are either solo queue or team(8 man) queue
I really hope they will allow to queue as a whole team because the opposite will not be that much different as what we have now
looking forward to ranked warzone aswell

Nothing in patch 1.2 is confirmed until there are patch notes. All we have to go on is viewed PTS game files (from torhead) and an interview, which both are subject to change. Neither give details on how the ranked warzones will work.

I am not sure how having solo ranked warzones would cause LoL issues.

Has there been any talk of any sort of reward for these ranks within the WZ's themselves? Thinking backto GCW ranking system in SWG, or even the FRS.

I agree that ranked WZ's in Huttball would be bad. There are clearly superior classes for that map and I agree that the mobility classes have a huge advantage over the rest. I play a Pyrotech Powertech and all I can do is DPS. In Huttball, because of the nature of my class I feel gimped in comparison to the heavy CC/mobility classes like Sorc/Sage. They aren't limited by turtle speed or fire traps like I am and they can pull ball carriers to them for a quick score.

Knockbacks aren't an issue in huttball? Try playing a melee dps class without charge, i.e. op/assasin, or a non-tank specced PT. We can argue about whether sorcs or juggs are better for huttball but I think it's pretty clear that a good player of either of those classes can turn the battle in a way that few others can. I've turned around 3:0 losses on my jugg when someone leaves and a good sorc comes in and we work together. Concealment operative? Not so much. It is a pretty unique arena though, so hopefully they can think of something to give charge-less melee classes an edge without changing it completely.

Whether or not you need dps at all is I think more complicated. Would 4 healers and 4 tanks win against say 2 tanks, 2 healers 4 dps (who are ranged or warriors)? It's not clear to me, I imagine either one could win depending on skill and strategy, and that's fine. It would basically boil down to who's better at taking the ball after a score, since neither side will have much chance to stop a score.

It's too early to say which class will benefit more than another. Too many of one class is not good. Huttball is such a joke right now it's hard to be precise when talking about team make up. No matter what class you pick there are going to be pros and cons. That being said, an all Inquisitor/Consular team in Huttball could be badass. Tongue

My guild played an Imp group with 6 sorcs last night. Midfield was like a evil pit of lightning death. BUT, they weren't able to hold on to the ball, so we just had our tanks run in, grab the ball/waste their carrier, then chain together two leaps and score. 6-0. Wink

I think group balance will be pretty key, especially since you can't stack for huttball when you might get CW or Voidstar. Going to need to have a couple tanks, couple heals, and the rest dps with the right utility (cc/pushs/pulls)

Copy/Paste:
Gear/Warzone/Commendation Changes

Lesser end-game commendations (Champion, Centurion, etc.) will not be exchangable.
There will be two levels of warzones. Regular and Ranked warzones.
Regular warzones will give out regular WZ commendations, and Ranked warzones will give out ranked WZ commendations.
New intro PVP set for new level 50 players to fill gap in gear.
There will be some "fun" uses for commendations you dont need anymore.

Ranked PVP

Phase one will be server specific.
Phase two (coming in the future) will have cross-server queuing.

General/UI Changes

Combat log coming soon.
DPS meters/Parsers will be done by 3rd party addons via combat log.
Free/Paid Server transfers are being worked on but no date provided. They want to make sure the process is perfect before releasing this.

Cross-Server Queuing

Coming in phase two of pvp changes (later than 1.2)
Priority is on playing with people from your own server.
As soon as you start choosing certain things (which warzone, ranked, etc.). It becomes more difficult for you to get a WZ with server players so you go into the cross-server queue.
