(06-10-2013 11:25 PM)Keren Wrote: You should use DFA on colldown between PPA proccs and more Shoulder Cannon should also be possible I don't particular like using Mortar Volley (DFA) in boss fights as I don't like using any ability that requires me to sit still on my VG. With my Commando, it comes with the territory. I still use it, but typically for when trash comes out during a boss fight, or on clearing the trash itself. I'll use it next time I parse to see if i notice any marked improvement. As far as shoulder cannon, I haven't ran the numbers, but I sort of figured that I'd use it with my clicky relic and battle focus. That said, should cannon tends to cause ability lag for me. Even though it is seperate from the GCD, it tends to lag my main abilities when I use it. Hard to explain - Not sure if you have ever enountered ability lag, but it happens to me quite a bit on Jedi Convenent. It is really bad on Makeb during peak hours. My connection and computer are solid (7970 + Intel X25-M SSD - 52ms) so I doubt that is the problem. One of these days, I'll log on early in the morning and run another parse. That said, what realistic gain would I get with 5 Mortar Volleys and 1 extra use of Shoulder Cannon? I'd expect a BIS (72 BIS) with no mistakes to hit 2700ish. Edit ** Let me know if I can be of assistance. I can create an AMR profile if you'd like. |

RE: Kray's Powertech DPS Simulator (v1.2.6) - FULL RELEASE!
Hmmm when I was testing the damage from DFA vs two FB it seemed to me like the numbers had shifted toward using FB. I took it out of the rotation for that reason. I have no issue with it being in there, but it seemed like a minor gain in damage to drop it. That being said, if there are two or more targets is it obviously much better to hit DFA.
If it is parses you need Ill be happy to oblige when I get home tonight. Ill try to give you a couple decent parses of each. I will stim, but no adrenal cause that is a little pricey. |

RE: Kray's Powertech DPS Simulator (v1.2.6) - FULL RELEASE!
Hi and thanks all for a very interesting discussion,
I'd like to add some thoughts from my perspective. Builds: Basically I've been experimenting with three different builds during HM ops and dummy parses: 1. The hybrid: hybrid build Imho the highest theoretical DPS build, although it relies on the FT which may be hard to pull off in a ops environment. It's also somewhat heat unfriendly and hard to keep up all the dots (RB, CGC, IM). 7-minute dummy parse 2. Standard Pyro: pyro build The most flexible and imho the most fun build due to mobility and simplicity that lets you focus on fight mechanics. It performs better in an ops than on a dummy due to the fact that it's easy to get right, on top of that it benefits more from armour debuff than the hybrid and it gets a damage buff below 30% health. 7-minute dummy parse 3. Pyro twist: pyro twist build Similiar benefits to standard pyro, but with the addition to RB. It gives up 1% critt + 10% dot damage < 30% or 2% fire damage (not sure which is best) but gains a powerful dot useful in heavy movement fights. 7-minute dummy parse All parses above where performed with the following stats: Acc: 441 (100,8%) Aim: 3347 Power:1377 Critt: 19.66% (0 rating from gear) Surge: 316 (68,62%) As for DFA, its always superior to 2 x flamebursts in my gear, but with higher critt I'd presume it could be a stand off due to the firebug skill. FT is about equal to 2 x flameburst (atleast none critted) but it's more heat friendly (again in my gear) That said I prefer the standard pyro build, although I'll get some more time with the pyro twist to see if I can notice a real difference. Also it will be very interesting to see what the simulation comes up with ![]() //Tagrine |

RE: Kray's Powertech DPS Simulator (v1.2.6) - FULL RELEASE!
If your target is already burning, DFA is better. Not only heatwise but also for damage. It may be a bit tricky - but if used correctly it does add about 10 dps.
My highest Setup till now (didn't parsed hybrid) is full pyro! Shoulder Cannon on Cooldown, Explsoive Fuel always combined with Boundless Ages Relic.. Will check hybrid on the weekend... Keren's Mercenary DPS Simulation |

What numbers are you hitting with your full pyro setup? Do you have a parse you can link too? What gear level? |
