RE: Obtainable Optimum Tank Stats

AFAIK, you are correct that rakatas do not RE.Ah no worries. The rest of this post will hopefully clear things up for you. thrakkemarn Wrote:Yes that would be pretty interesting. Alright, so, to start with, the below chart shows the different prefixes and stats that can be granted by Reverse Engineering. Credit to Slaign for this. Redoubt, Critical, and Overkill are the “Tier 1” or “T1” prefixes. Their child prefixes are “Tier 2” or “T2” prefixes, acquired by Reverse Engineering the appropriate T1 parent item. Quote:Redoubt (+Defense) So, for any given Level 49 or 50 Craftable Item, the following is true: Quote:Premium Base Item |Rating 108 | Stat Budget: Chest/Helm/Legs/Weapon Basically, Reverse Engineering adds a predictable amount of stats to an item depending on the base item’s rating, quality & stat budget (stat budget is determined by the item’s slot, as seen above). For example, to determine what the stats would be for the Veracity TT-17A Vanguard helmet I posted about earlier, you could start with the base stats for the item from DarthHater. Then, since the base item is a Prototype Rating 116 Helm, we add +47 Defense (T1 Redoubt stat) and +47 Shield (T2 Veracity stat), increase the Armor Rating to 124, and we get: Veracity TT-17A Elite Vanguard Helmet [Superior] 764 Armor (rating 124) 52 Aim 82 Endurance 79 Shield Rating 71 Defense Rating We can then add +28 to any stat to simulate a critical craft adding an augment slot if we want. You can see from the above that, the better the quality of the base item, the better the quality of the eventual T2 Artifact. As far as base items go There are Prototype 118 Base Items for the following slots: Bracers, Gloves, Boots There are Prototype 116 Base Items for the following slots: Helm, Legs There are only Premium 108 Base Items for the following slots: Earpiece, Implant, Chestpiece, Belt There are only Premium 106 Base Items for the following slot: Weapon As such, the highest stat budgets of crafted items will be for T2 Bracers, Gloves, Boots, Helm & Legs, crafted from Prototype base items. Belts crafted from Premium 108 base items should probably also be considered due to the fact that belts normally have a low stat budget, and so the extra stats from RE+Augment are of proportionally greater value in that gear slot. What’s particularly interesting about these formulas is that there’s no reason they couldn’t be applied to Base Artifact items. I personally have yet to see proof of a successfully learned pattern reverse engineered from a base artifact, but the base patterns exist (Dalarian, Columi) and the items can be reverse engineered without error, so there’s no proof that they can’t be learned. I theorize that it’s possible, but the difficulty of making the items (requiring drops from Hard Mode Ops for Columi) and the relatively high value of selling them, means very few are being Reverse Engineered. That, combined with the, presumably, extremely low chance of successfully learning a pattern from Reverse Engineering such a high level item has led to a lack of confirmation. But I keep trying everytime I have self-perpetuating power cells. |
