Seer | Corruption Spreadsheet
I've updated my spreadsheet for 1.2.
Aside from the changes to Conveyance/Force bending, I also decided to remove the PvP information from my spreadsheet. I'm focusing on PvE, however if there is demand for PvP information I'll think of other ways to incorporate it. With the addition to detailed combat logs in 1.2, the "Effective Healing" section in my spreadsheet becomes much more accurate and important. Essentially it is the combination of Spell Usage and Overhealing. With a combat log parser you'll be able to find our (accurately) how much your spells are effectively healing for when compared to the total, for a given boss or time frame. As a minor clarification, Conv/Forcbnd % is the percentage of said spells usage which had the Conveyance or Forcebending buff. Please feel free to inform me of any mistakes or errors you may find. I'm also looking for suggestions on future updates. Thank you and enjoy the spreadsheet. [split] Sith Sorcerer Healing Compendium
Arulan, could you also add an option for PvP? That would just have to consider the expertise healing bonus and the 30% healing debuff (Trauma). Since expertise also suffers from Diminishing returns, I'm asssuming it would be better to equip a couple of Rakatas, with Full Battlemaster (or close to that).

Essentially what you want are the stat weights for PVP, correct? |

RE: Seer | Corruption Spreadsheet
Can you check the weights on the stats please. Was comparing the 1.1.2 and the only thing that seems to be calculating correctly is Activation Speed. Healing Bonus, Crit and Crit Multiplier were all different on the spreadsheet vs in live. Activation Speed seems correct but the others were off.

I checked the spreadsheet and compared it to my character on live. The values are indeed correct. I believe you're seeing different values because you're not taking into account full raid buffs. +5% Crit from Lucky Shots (Smuggler/Agent), 5% +Healing Bonus (Sentinel/Marauder) which stacks additive on your 6% +Healing Bonus talent. I'm not sure why you were seeing a different value for Crit Multiplier however. Please let me know if this solves your issue. |

RE: Seer | Corruption Spreadsheet
I modified Arulan's spreadsheet a little. I added another tab so I could more easily compare HPCT and HPF in a sorted list (no new calculations are added just a different way to view his already existing ones). I attached it in case anyone else finds it handy.
I realize there are posts that lay this sort of thing out, but I always prefer looking at exact builds, stats, and situations and so forth for my own use. |

Thanks must of been having a blond moment. Edit: Fixed your quote tags so your post actually shows up =Þ ~Kor |

RE: Seer | Corruption Spreadsheet
Does the Heal value calculated for Resurgence/Rejuvenate include the +6 seconds talent? I am sort of not sure how this calculation works. It seems the heal value of the hot is multiplied by 5. Why 5? Where does the 5 come from? As the hot ticks base by 9 seconds, and another 5 by the talent I sort of don't understand the formula.
Can somebody explain? Thanks in advance! |

It is 5 because after the initial instant tick, which has a different power coefficient value, the spell ticks 5 times throughout its full duration. Try using the spell in-game and count the number of ticks after the initial instant tick. And yes, this does take into account the talent. |

Thanks a lot (as I do not have a Sage, I cannot try it out in game). Hmmm, this is pretty weird, so independent if I have the talent specced into or not, it will tick 5x? I am also wondering (though this is unrelated to this healing discussion) if I calculated the Dots in case of the DPS sage wrongly (up to now I assumed they tick "once per second", and gave 1 tick event per second with the amount of damage given on torhead for the dot). If this sort of approach was wrong for the healer sage, maybe it is wrong for the dps sage as well? BTW: Hope you are fine that I use the maths used in your spreadsheet in my program. I particularly liked the stat scale calculations. I actually am thinking of implementing a weight-calculation-method which will calculate the weights for a given item, so that a player can compare these items based on their summed up weights (a bit of like the approach the "mr.robot" page on WoW does). Currently my program is a big mixture of Formulation, Simulation and Weight methods. But I think it should be useful anyways, even if I don't use the same method of evaluation for every spec (I think Weights are pretty good for healers, though Simulation is pretty good for dps). Another thing I noticed: You add *10*1.05*1.06 on the stat scales... so I assume I was wrong with my assumption that the Consular Buff and the Will talent add Additively, and in truth they are multiplicative (Well, I guess I should have tested this ingame) ? |
