RE: Juggernaut leveling questions
And one more "play experience".
I leveled one Juggernaut as Vengeance up to level 44 (end of Voss for me). The companion used was Quinn from "as soon as he was available" to the end. With the high Vengeance damage (and smooth rage generation) this was a very satisfying way to play, but Elites were already dangerous (especially with adds) and Champions were right out. After Voss I switched to a proper "tank" spec. Due to the mentioned "not equipping other companions" I had to stay with Quinn, while upgrading Jaesas gear. The immortal tree does properly earn it's name with a healing companion - Champion level mobs are now entirely possible, if lengthy. A second Juggernaut is now leveling as Tank with a dps companion (Vette so far). This makes for reasonably fast killing (although possibly not quite as safe as dps-spec + healer). Both ways seem entirely workable. My personal recommendation would probably still be to level as DPS for the extra speed. Regarding gearing companions: Crafted and Trademarket items work perfectly. Especially after a longer break (or on aquiring a new companion) it's probably quicker to just get a full set of appropriate armour and a cheap weapon to start out with. |
