I haven't gotten a chance to sit down and play with a simulator or combat log to error check the numbers, and the parts that aren't from LagunaD's original sheet aren't very pretty or self-explanatory yet. Any feedback is appreciated.(04-16-2012 07:04 AM)Lucifel Wrote:Could you post a link to your spreadsheet? Looks pretty good TBH. I'll toy with it a bit and see if I can find any errors. I appears EZMode has stopped updating his spreadsheet or at least hasn't had an update for 1.2 so this could be very helpful. This spreadsheet also seems a lot more user friendly being a simple google doc. Great work adapting the Carnage spreadsheet for Annihilation. |

RE: Carnage/Combat stat weight spreadsheet online
thanks for the updated spreadsheet, i've been playing with it for abit, it seems the DPS is off by abit though, the sheet tells me i should be doing roughly 1500 dps but the parser is telling me im around 1700 on the dummy.
pretty sure i've entered the correct stats everywhere and changed the talent points to my spec (carnage). |

I can look in to it for you. If you could also manage to send me a nice long combat log to parse for achieved average damage numbers on the abilities, I'd appreciate it even more. There's some not-entirely-user-friendly things that are easy to overlook, like leaving a '1' in the box to use Smash/Force Sweep when that's not beneficial, or leaving off the '1's for legacy bonuses from completing companion storylines. (Or not specifying to use Juyo form, with Annihilation spec.) But I don't think those should be enough to drop a 1700 to a 1500. |

RE: Carnage/Combat stat weight spreadsheet online
sure
specs: str: 1613, willpower 114, power: 304, force power: 1224, accuracy: 159, critical rating: 387, surge rating: 351, mh 306-459, oh 306-459 i realised that im also using my trinket + pot on CD which i probably shouldn't , i will see the diff without them. for a combat log i'll try and get back to you with that tomorrow.

RE: Carnage/Combat stat weight spreadsheet online
Yeah, it doesn't really factor in trinkets, pots or set bonuses. At least not yet.
I'm getting the same numbers as you for those stats in the spreadsheet, so it's not an error in entering your character parameters. On a slightly different note, it looks like you could gain some dps by remodding some of that crit to power, up to 620 total power. Granted, it's only about a 2% gain, but a gain nonetheless. |

(04-26-2012 03:17 AM)Melanie Wrote: heres the log for a couple of minutes: this time without stims and trinket, parser says 1600 dps That helped a lot! There's some things I've determined so far, and I'm not sure if they're parsing errors, or errors in our understanding of the mechanics. * Your log shows no misses whatsoever. You should be seeing some missed offhand swings. *Battering Assault and Ravage are both showing half again as many swings per ability use as they should be. *Your achieved crit rates are notably below predicted. (Though that would be making the spreadsheet over-estimate, not under.) Beyond that, I tried narrowing down the discrepancies by basically force-feeding my spreadsheet your achieved values, one parameter at a time, instead of the predicted values. After correcting the rotation itself, the miss rates, and the crit rates, as well as the weird extra Battering & Ravage hits, the discrepancy was much smaller. Predicted Ataru procs per minute were about 8% lower than logged. Once that was adjusted, predicted execute PPM were slightly low too. After all that, total DPS was off by about 4%, and the only remaining factors for error were basic (non-crit) damage, and critical bonus damage %. The parsers I could find didn't give enough info to eliminate either. Assault and Massacre seemed particularly off for their sample sizes, at around 11% and 8% too low respectively. I wish I remembered enough of my statistics class to work up some margins of error. |

Atm I think the dummies defense is still bugged, you can't miss any attacks on them. I played around a bit with the sheet and upgraded the "Upgrade Advisor" so it uses a few more stats and considers DR's. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?...FlPZjc4QXc It might not be the most elegant solution but it seems to work quite well. Thanks a lot for the work you've done LagunaD & LucifeL. It's an awesome tool even if it's work in progress. |
