I know its not much but i was still under the impressions 1str>1pow I think the idea is that Power is .23 additional damage/force damage per point, and STR is only .2 per point, with .008 crit. That tiny amount of crit still falls well behind the .06 additional damage to all attacks you gain per point of Force over STR. I'm surprised you're having issues with bleeds on Council. I have no issues breezing through Infernal Council simply forsaking Berserk alone. |

It is affected by the Inqu Buff however, and thus gives .21 Bonus Dmg and .0063 Crit. Still, the .02 (+.001 from Warrior Buff) Bonus Dmg outweighs .0063 Crit in my calculations. By the way, 1 Strength does not give you 1 Damage to your Abilities, neither does 1 Point of Bonus Damage. It depends on which Ability you're looking at, they all scale differently with Bonus Damage (varies from 0.85*BonusDmg (Sweeping Slash) to nearly 4*BonusDmg (Ravage)) |

RE: Annihilation | Watchmen Compendium
yeah its weird people were saying they got a heal form "bosis" then i couldnt do damage. so i stopped putting up bleeds and he was no issue. still had him down with tons of time even on nightmare. it was just odd.
also i don't get why i randomly have a 3rd bleed up. and as far as the str vs power thing i think im just too used to wow, and being a warrior in wow. since str>all and its hard to think of ur main stat as not being best. |

RE: Annihilation | Watchmen Compendium
Check the tooltip for 'Berserk' out and what it does in Juyo form. Since it heals all party members for 1% of their health for the duration of Berserk, you get the debuff on council. Either stop using Berserk in Juyo form or alternatively switch to Shii-cho form(which is lesser dps) and this issue won't happen.

RE: Annihilation | Watchmen Compendium
Or just have your raid leader move you into your own group. Then you can use Berserk to your heart's content.

RE: Annihilation | Watchmen Compendium
The first post puts Power as the last stat in the priority, but the last few pages have several posts saying Power > Strength. First post seems to need updating as the stat priority is one of the main things people hit up the compendium for.

1.1.3 Patch Notes — 2/14/2012
Classes and Combat General •Surge rating has been re-balanced. It now reaches diminishing returns the same way as other damage ratings, and its per point damage contribution has been reduced by approximately 10%. Now it's impossible to reach 85% of surge, not even with lvl 56 enchants with crit/surge in every slot. (i have never seen lvl 58 enchants with crit/surge) I think the first post needs an update

Elmor Wrote:I think the first post needs an update Sure, Patch is some hours old. Give me some time to have a look at the actual deployed changes, as testrealm patchnotes may vary from day to day. Ishnu Wrote:Still, the .02 (+.001 from Warrior Buff) Bonus Dmg outweighs .0063 Crit in my calculations. This is half the truth. The actual changing point for power surpassing the value of strength was about 1550 strength unbuffed, when it adds up to slight above + 12% crit. After that point, power indeed values more. This point only will be surpassed at (exept 1-2 pieces) full tier 3 gear. For Patch 1.1.3 with surge being nerfed, the value of crit also decreases, as its bonus decreases. However, i do not expect the strength/power breaking point to fall to a significant lower value (maybe about 30-40 str), as critical hit chance still is a major point to our dps, despite the actual surge nerf. AFAIK, critical gain from primary stats is calculated ( PrimaryStat / max(Level,20) ) / 2.5 ) , or (1 / 50 / 2) = 0.008 per point of primary stat, which is strength in our case. Contrary to critical rating, there is no diminishing return for strength. Where do you get the 0.0063 from?
