A question on how set boni work

I got a question playing a role for the Theorycrafting tool for Consular Tanks I am
currently developing ("Project Shield"). If someone has one Rakata set item and one Columi Set item (or a Tionese and a Columi set item) equipped, does he get the set bonus? Or is the set bonus tied to "one type of set"? Also do Rakata/Tionese/Columi set items have the "same" set bonus? Thanks in advance!
