How to acquire neutral relics while leveling?

I've searched through the TORhead and KnoTOR databases looking for neutral relics, but it's hard to find details on how to acquire them. Many have no data at all on where they drop, and the few that do tend to be random world drops.

Are there any craftable or vendor-sold neutral relics, especially for sub-50 characters?

The matrix shard relics are neutral (requires you to find three of them), and they have different stats and levels. All the level 50 PvP and flashpoint/ops dropped relics are neutral.
I recall all the leveling relics crafted all had an alignment, including world drops.

Aye, cant remember any neutral relics before level 50. Quite confident that there isnt any. Might be that you can buy relics from pvp at low level. Not sure about that.

As I said in the post above yours, neutral matrix shard relics are available. Now it can be hard to find the shards and you only get one relic at a time (and costs 8k to blow up the relic to get the shards) but it is out there. There are level 15, 32 and 50 level versions I recall. The list is on swtor wiki. The PvP relics are all level 50.

Combining them in the matrix assembly machine thingy:

Republic Matrix Assembly - In an any-access phase just inside the Jedi Temple Ruins (-1785,555) on Coruscant.
Imperial Matrix Assembly - In an any-access phase near the Dark Temple(-1828,500) on Dromund Kaas.

To disassemble the relic (and reuse the shards at a higher level) you'll need a power core. These can be bought at several locations throughout the game (info taken from here) for 8.000 credits each:

- A Jawa on Tatooine, north of Anchorhead near a sandcrawler
- (for Empire) on Tatooine (626,2782) north of arrival location
- (Republic) On Taris, in the Tularan Marsh, above and NW of Lytle Outpost at 707, -172.

Personally I also got two of those power cores from the Chest next to the vendor selling "keys" on Balmorra (across the water from bug town - selling the code to the datacron inside bug town) for 8.000 credits. frmorrison also got the power core from the vendor directly (at 8.000 credits, same as everywhere else).
Edit: As frmorrison points out in the next post, the values stated here before were wrong. I've adjusted the post to add in the new values (and new location for a disassembly cube).

For Empire, on Tatooine (626,2782) north of the arrival location is a vendor that sells the 8,000 credit relic blowing up item, it is the only 8,000 credit item the vendor is selling. The vendor near Bugtown on Balmorra sells the same item as well.
