My understanding is that only the right hand lava removes his increased damaged buff.

The left hand lava slows the boss which allows your tank to get out of range and remove the increased damage taken debuff. This may be why some have felt the increased damage after using the central lava.

I have seen several people post that this fight can be solo tanked, how hard is this to accomplish? Can you solo tank HM and Nightmare modes and more specifically solo tank using the Right Switch Only strat?

The group I am with is Moderately geared w/ 1/2 Rakata and a BH Tank. Main reason I am asking is I would like to find a way to solo tank the entire instance and we do not currently have a solid OT.
