RE: Simulationcraft for Sage/Sorcerer
Thank you for the release!
I hate to be the problem child here, but I am noticing some discrepancies between calculations in SimulationCraft and MoX Parser. First off here is my exact character build as loaded into SimC: Code: #!./simcIf copy / paste gives an error in SimC, the build to import from AskMrRobot is: http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/character/b1...84eb824af7 SimC calculates roughly between 1708-1710 DPS respectively. I am not seeing anywhere NEAR that on the Operation Dummy on my ship through the MoX Parser. I am bursting at somewhere between 1630-1640 and leveling out at around 1450-ish... My current build is: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#600bZf...MfRsMkrc.1 though I have also run the simulation using the 1/12/28 build and achieved basically the same results, 1708-1710 DPS. I am following the current rotation priority as stated in the Compendium: Rotation Priority List Wrath Crushing Darkness (Presence of Mind Mind Crush) Affliction (Weaken Mind) Death Field(ideally right after Crushing Darkness expires on the target) (Force in Balance) Force Lightning (TK Throw) Shock(if moving) (Project) Of course I am not using Project on a dummy for obvious reasons, however a couple times I cycled it in for the hell of it and saw no gain, it actually caused a slight drop. The only modifications or changes I have made to SimC itself is to plot and scale for WP, Force Power, Crit, Surge, and Alacrity. Everything else is to default. Generally I trust SimC more so than a parser, however it just feels that something isn't right, to me there should not be that much of a discrepancy and I have a feeling that "human error" (aka "I") may be at fault somewhere here. As always, any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Waldo :EDIT: One important note I forgot to add is that when I am running the parser on the dummy I am full raid buffed with an Exotech Stim. It would be silly of me to expect identical numbers being only self buffed. It's usually myself and my GM who has a 50 of each class, therefore he has every buff, grouped together and using the ship dummy (to prevent any lag issues from the Op Dummies on the Fleet). Where maturity and progression run hand in hand.
