Been reading like a mad man on the official forums regarding the hybrid.
There is one thing that is certain, and that is that they got the numbers wrong; the main foundation of the Hybrid is that Sonic Barrier | Blade Barrier only absorb ~500 + - dmg, which is simply not true. In terms of the build with the extra DoT damage on Impale I can, on top of my head, say that it will have a higher output in terms of damage, and also snap threat due to unstoppable (so much CC on tanks when engaging) Regarding survivability - It does give us a 4% flat DR - but the unstoppable and Protector talent, as stated earlier aswell cannot be used on cooldown, positional requirements makes this extremely hard to do.
