That works well for me in HM's and is pretty easy to obtain, haven't really done NiM yet so pretty sure that shield/absorb and amor DR needs to be beefed up. As far as controlling spike dmg thats going to be a by product of efficient use of cooldowns, special abilities, and trinkets. Each fight is going to be different in what order you should them and that is were the true skill in tanking comes in, knowing how to use these guys and keeping ahead of the incoming dmg. Like with Sorno pop a sonic barrier before he starts unload that will give you some lag time to interrupt him so you don't drop down too fast. Pop invincible or saber ward a second or 2 before the pylon comes down on Soa. Stuff like that is what will mitigate spike dmg to some degree. Rng is rng there are going to be short spans where you just get pummeled for no apprent reason, just the luck of the dice. But understanding the fights and where the dmg will most likely be coming from instead will far outweigh focusing on how to balance gear scores. You pretty much move from t1 to t2 to t3 anyways. You can do some mixing and matching but overall you are just going to take the highest set, not like you would switch out a t1 for the t3 helm because the t1 has a bit more shield/absorb. So you pretty much have to do with what stats BW puts on T3 and go from there. |
