RE: Scoundrel/Operative Healing Compendium
First post here but I've been following the conversation for a while now. I'd like to point out some things that haven't been mentioned before.
Has anyone considered using Shiv in our rotation together with Surgical Probe. I found it a great way to gain that second Tactical Advantage or, more importantly, use it to refresh TA. I usually use Shiv + Surgical Probe when I have 2x TA available. For me, it seems a great way to heal continuously at a steady pace rather than heal - regen - heal - regen - etc... Kinda works like Judging with a holy pala. I also saw someone mention that refreshing Kolto Probe x2 is pretty important and should be mentioned in the healing priority list/rotation. The only heal that would be a smarter choice energy wise would be Nanotech x4. About the debate between Surgical Probe and Kolto Infusion: I started my own spreadsheet and with the numbers I have now, SP is always the best option if you don't take crit/surge into account. Can anyone confirm this? We have a lot of talents that boost the healing from Surgical Probe that makes it our best HPS and HPE. However, I still need to calculate my crit/surge values and see how the numbers turn out. If I look at the tooltip for Accomplished Doctor, the 30% critical healing bonus has an effect on surge, not on crit right? So even if Kolto Infusion turns out to be a better HPS or HPE option with crit/surge taken into account, you still can't rely on the healing output since crit will always be RNG. One final thing I didn't see here before: Nanotech +3 is quite strong although you need to make sure that at the time you cast it, you're target is in 10m range of 2-3 other players. Before I tested it, I assumed you could cast it on yourself and run towards a group of players in order to spread the hot but this is not the case. Nanotech doesn't effect anyone inside the 10m range after you cast it. In other words: you'll need to make sure that Nanotech effects 3 or more at the time of the cast and all players affected will get the full duration. Apologies if I made some language errors and if this is helpfull, I'm glad to contribute to the discussion. [Focused Insights] - Fugaru's MMO Blog for IA healing |
