RE: Scoundrel/Operative Healing Compendium
Thanks for the thread, I must say that the more I come on this forum, the more I'm amazed by the quality of the topics and discussions.

As far as i'm concerned, I leveled as a healer and invested heavily on Alacrity right from the start and I am still doing so at lvl 50. Currently doing Hard Modes with my guildmates, with almost 16% Alacrity (including spec).

This thread made me change my mind on some points, but I still disagree with most of you (and this compendium) on one very thing : the importance of crit.

If we look at Kor's graphs concerning the scaling of stats (http://sithwarrior.com/forums/Thread-SWT...t?page=5), Crit and Alacrity are close to each other (with crit beeing slightly over). Surge is of course way ahead in term of increase per points added. So, my guess is to aim for roughly 40% Surge, bringing our heals with Kolto Injection, Kolto Infusion and Nanotech to 220% (including Accomplished Doctor), and for approximatively 15-20% critical (around 200-300 points). 15% will probably make some of you having concerns for my mental sanity, but let me explain. Using Kor's graphs, you'll get 10% Crit more with around 1500 Cunning, which is quite easy to achieve. Buff + Talent give 11%. Which means 36-41% Crit without much gear. Diagnostic is 48%. Those are for me more than enough.

Let's have a look at it in a different way. Gameplay wise, Crit will sure compliment Surge, but as a gameplay mechanic it only affect Diagnostic. Surge will mostly compliment Kolto Injection and Kolto Infusion (Nanotech beeing quite situationnally imo), due to Accomplished Doctor.

So, once you have Surge granting you 40% bonus, I think Alacrity comes over Crit. Kolto Injection/Infusion will be great tools to use, and they both have a cast time. Infusion can be really quick to cast, has a good healing output, and is pretty cheap (15energy). Kolto Injection has also a good healing output, and I often use it as a TA generation tool, since probes can't proc more than every 6sec. Diagnostic will also benefit a lot from Alacrity, even with a slightly lower Crit chance. I happen to use it a lot in my cycles. Whether between Kolto Injection and Kolto Infusion, or after landing 3-4 probes on my group, or when there isn't much healing to do. I do use a lot of Injection/Infusion, most of the fights having mechanism that hit non-tank people and are inevitable. A highly reduced cast time Infusion is quite efficient to quickly heal your ally without loosing much time off the tank.

It may be very dependant from my playstyle (and healing role, flashpoints, operations...), but I'm going for :

Surge (up to 40%) > Power >= Alacrity > Critical (35% minimum, more if not sacrificing other stats)

(I hope my english is understandable, if not correct. Otherwise, I'm really sorry :x)
