RE: Scoundrel/Operative Healing Compendium
I actually got buffled with the usefulness (or lack thereof) of our 31-point talent in Medicine, and switched to this build now:
http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#401Mff...cZZG0rkM.1 For some perverse reason, it seems to work out better than my old 33/3/5 build. Specifically: The Flash Powder talent is useful in trash, as long as it causes them to do "less damage" once in a while. I also have another grenade with a DOT (useful all around, not so much in Operations), and most importantly, Combat Stims. This is awesome - Makes the Stim Boost very flexible, with its new reduced cooldown and the instant 10 Energy it restores. I have found myself able to cast a new Stim Boost, going (knowingly) into the 40-50% energy zone, and then the new Stim Boost takes energy over the 60% magic spot. Or even if you are in 75%, it takes you to 85%, a nice boost. I don't miss RN enough to respec back to Medicine, so I have to hand it to the class designers - They increased the efficiency of a "hybric spec" healer compared to a dedicated one. Hurray (?) Do note, for clarity, that the usual "rotation" consists of KI+SP with very sporadic KP thrown around, and DS when needed (not integrated in rotation in itself). KP's are mainly on the tank, when they are used at all (i.e. energy levels must be high and the raid must be okay-ish in health). I know it must not be the most efficient way to use the class, but it sure feels rather alright. Oh well, until they nerf Surge and we all cry together, that is... |
