Hey I had the same thing happene to me as well and I also slow-motioned it and fraps'ed

This was happening with me ~ 20 k hp after endurance stims - I didn't pop the static shield on myself which would have gave me another 4-5k hp on top of that (got distracted by the companion pop up window) . Anyways, you will see that the first tick gets me down to 13 k ish Hp and then next you see a 8k hit but I die instantly - there is a hidden tick behind that 8k tick that is obscured by the 8k hit.
