Good to know, thank you. So if soaker tank misses one, target of target and have them run it down. The PBAoE is definately rape.

Most of EV was pretty easy on HM 8 man, but we ran out of time on Soa. We had a lot of trouble with the lightning balls, they go invisible after a little while which wiped us a few times. You can still see them if you have floating enemy npc names turned on, but some of them won't even show their names and we would suddenly get killed by invisible lightning orbs. Other bugs like dead lightning orbs still doing damage and floor pieces missing, became a pretty big time sink.

I can't imagine invisible enemies being an intended mechanic, has anyone else encountered this?

Name plates on should solve your invis issues. They did for us. It is a known bug though.

Do nameplates make it easier to target the lightning balls as well? I've been tab targetting and I'll lose my target for some reason after it was clearly selectable.

Also I've taunted and leapt onto the ball and had it not explode.. is this a factor of the taunt not triggering correctly or I'm leaping too early?

The lightning balls on HM Soa were pretty frustrating on our first 10~ attempts, just trying to make it easier.

Nameplates don't work 100% of the time. Your camera angles also play a factor.

What I did in the past was mark each ball as they spawn. Of course, your time on boss will go down drastically due to lack of mods/macros but it makes spotting them 100% easier. Right now, we just have 2 Assassins take turn running in, AE Taunting, and Cloaking (Force Shroud) as they spawn so that minimizes the potential for invisi-Balls.

Still getting wrecked in P3 though Sad

As of the latest patch, Orbs on 8man HM are immune to taunts.
So any ideas how to handle these now?

Taunting does not work, soaking someone elses orb does not work either.

Right now I am a little puzzled since there is no indicator which orb belongs to whom.
Our strat up to now is to have folks running toward any orb they see if they are targeted but the amount of rng is a tad annoying.

The boss is so easy now, did it from first try with some random person who never did it on HM.

For the balls, just let someone announce on ts who is being targetted and they have to go get the ball.
Last phase is so easy now too, never seen a problem with balls here. While pre-nerf he was hard cuz of the 10 balls flying at once.

Did you not see the announcements when the balls spawn of who they are targeting? Yes its not clear which of the spawns belong to whom, but really it takes 5 seconds to a sort it out and then you pop your ball.

Maybe we have a positioning issue then.
We try to stick to the inner circle around the boss becuase most of the time we have our healers trapped/whirlwinded.

We seem to get a hang of the orbs, but I don't really have a concept for someone being thrown around just to drop into a ball later on.
Any advice about positioning?
