Anyone else have an issue where it spawns you above the doorway on a ledge that is too high to drop down from and live? This happened to us after 1 attempt on 16 Hard and then after first attempt 8 hard as well.

The most recent update states: "Bonethrasher no longer attacks players immediately after they fall into his pit when re-entering after being defeated, allowing players to regroup before engaging." |

yeah he's got a tendency to do that, especially if he targets somebody in the acid
my guild is currently sick of this boss, normal mode is fine since you can 4-5 man him and he hits like a wet towel but the rest is just absolute agony, bugs, random damage swipes/knockbacks on people that were on the other side of the room we call him bugthrasher now |

Bonetrasher was significantly nerfed in the patch.
We went in to HM 16 man and one shot him without any problems - a very easy boss now and the DPS requirement is not nearly as insane (we had 2 tanks and several undergeared people and still beat him before enrage timer). His knock back does not knock you back nearly as far, you can be slightly in from the metal ring and be fine now, and his swipe damage hits for much less - which makes this fight much more melee friendly. |

Quick guide I wrote up for Hardmode 8man Bonethrasher. Hope it helps some players out there. Pretty straightforward fight, but it did give us some grief for a couple of hours, till we changed our approach. |

Went back this past week with same people and wiped nearly ten times over two hours or so. The main issue? It wasn't random mistakes and getting knocked off the edge, it was the swipe still being completely unavoidable by melee. We just had a string of bad luck everytime he'd go to swipe, he'd turn because the person with threat changed in that moment. I am so really hoping they make it so that (in accordance with his VERY OBVIOUS animation) he will actually plant his feet and not magically swivel around and hit people. Then it doesn't matter who has the threat, you just need to move really fast. Other than that, the 'pillar' strategy works well, if he didn't bug people into the walls when knockback. |
