Based on other reverse engineering, Id say there might be a chance to get it back, but extremely unlikely. Though this is based purely on REing blues. I couldnt get enough rare materials to RE purples beyond once or twice.

With reverse engineering, I believe you can RE any item that you can craft plus any other item you pick up in quest and drops that is simlar in your craft. So... artiface can RE relics, sabers, hilts while biochem can Re implants and medpacks. Does that mean synthweaving and armortech are most useful at RE'ing bop drops at end game?
