I think that except Biochem the other profs hold no special bonuses except maybe the crit-crafted things... and they are not so hot either since 1 augment slot can hold +18stat+12endurance...

Augmented weapons are better than Rakata as you can place all the 140 level parts in the crafted item plus you can get the 10 endurance and 18 stats augment.

At the moment the only professions that give a slight advantage is Artifice, Synthweaving and Armormech as they can crit craft two Rakata items which are BOP. All other augmented items can be traded so you can buy them from the GTN or ask a Guild mate to craft for you.

I think once people start to RE Campaign and Black Hole gear they will lose there edge anyway.

So I think the best profession to level for Explosive Conflict raids will be the one that your guild is missing so you can RE BOP drops and nothing goes to waste.

This is a potentially dumb question, but not one I could answer searching the forums or various DB sites. There are apparently recipes out there for making level 24+ mods and enhancements; where do they come from? Are they drops in hard modes or nightmares, or are they in the game files but not available on live or something?

Hey Lucrecien..

Yes these are random Drop's Normally from within HM ops runs.. however i did here on my server that someone got one from a random world boss... possibly from Nightmare pilgrim 16 man world boss as this needs a 16 man well geared group.

I did a lot of research on seeing if its possible to crit Exotech armor on my armormech. I had a hard time finding any information on these forums, reddit or official forums. I was skeptical because 1.2 patch notes say "Orange Gear", but Exotech is purple but moddable. I decided to just make a few Exotech Enforcer Boots and Gloves on my Sniper. Went 1/2 on Boots and 1/1 on Gloves for augment slot. The items are BoP but I am very happy! I don't remember where I got Schematics, but most likely EV or KP (HM or NiM).

This gives armormechs another option for PVE augmented gear for Gloves and Boots rather than getting Valor 60/70 for crit crafted Orange PVP gear.

I now have 4 pieces of gear that I have crit'd (Waist, Arm guards, Gloves, Boots). If you need proof let me know and Ill post pics.

Does someone has some more informations about this as there are a lot of rumors what you can re and what not.

some questions:

- you can RE all earrings/ implants from the bh vendor which you can buy for daily commodations?!

- you can RE all drop modifications which drop in....?

- you can rip out mods from bh/ campaign/ dread master gear and RE?

- you can not rip out mods from tionese/ columni/ rakata and RE?

any help is appriciated.

I can conform the following:

You can buy Black Hole Implants as well as Earpiece from Black Hole Vendor (that you buy with Black Hole Commendations) and RE them (Biochem for Implants and Cybertech for Earpiece). You cannot RE the Rakata Implants/Earpiece and learn them (since you wrote "buy for daily commendations it confuses me..)

You can rip out armorings, mods and enhancements fom Black Hole, Campaign, Dread Guard and Hazmat and RE and learn to craft them.

Note thought that you can RE all armorings but you can only get a chance to learn armorings that are not bound to any set piece. This means that you can RE a armoring from a chest but then you wont be able to learn it, but if you take out the armoring from a Hazmat/Dread Guard belt and RE, you can learn to craft the armoring since it's not bound to any slot.

You are also able to RE and learn armorings/mods/enhancements that other players have crafted, please thought note that you need to put the item you want to RE into a orange item and then remove it and then you can RE. If you don't do it this way you cannot learn and be able to craft the item.

You are able to RE and learn all armorings/mods/enhancements that drops (without being in an item).

If this goes for Tionese/Columi/Rakata I do not know, thought it would be a waste since they suck and as it looks now, I dont think that you are able to RE and learn to craft those (only a guess, might be wrong).
