I cant say either of the sheets model burnout at all besides adding the crit to your totals so I would HIGHLY doubt that this is better then the 28 pyro spec with 2/3 steely resolve. BUT I think it shows that you guys are for sure onto something here and hopefully we can find that super uber dps spec Big Grin

Well, that spec will outperform the 28 specs except for when a target is below 30%. The question is whether higher DPS on 70% of the fight is better than higher DPS 30% of the fight. Considering the way enrage mechanics work, I'd be tempted to lean towards having more DPS at the end of the fight.

Sorry I've been very sick the past two days and haven't been able to read up and check on here. Forgive me ahead of time if I am a bit loopy in my response as I'm still not well.

I'm glad that the discussion on this topic has been reignited as I think, at leas to me, it just seemed more dps for the various reasons I brought up. In pvp or certain situations the range/utility/burst of TD does seem worth having. But in terms of raid fights I think the added stats over all from the extra aim and etc would put it slightly over the top. Railshot does top DPS for me currently with crits ranging from 4200-5200 give or take and off the top of my head my TD crits are close to around 3.9k-4k. Focusing on trying to get more procs and boosting stats over all just seems like a better use of talents potentially.

Also just from a very basic math sense.. doing greater damage 70% of the fight is going to be better, unless the amount gained at 30% totals up to more than what you'd gain during that 70%. Enrage timer or not its just a simple matter of over all what gives you more numbers at the end game. If you're doing lets say 1.5x extra dmg at that 70% and giving up lets say 2x dmg at 30% you're still ahead you know? Someone who is more into the spreadsheets can likely work out some actual numbers for this perhaps.

Sorry I'd have liked to put something more thoughtful together but I need to get some rest.
