RE: Quick Leveling Tips
Most is already listed, but here is my two cents.
Never, ever, ever ever skip the "bonus series" quests that you get for each planet. They provide immense xp. Also, the worst thing you can do is one quest at a time, do batches, then do a big turn in run. |

RE: Quick Leveling Tips
Some things you gotta know about Bonus Quests:
- They sometimes disappear unwanted, like on Quesh I had to go to a machine and activate it, thought I would keep the bonus series (was in final stage) but it just disappeared although I had to do more stuff in that area for the quest. - They always give same XP on each planet, or like +-400 difference. Did a 4 man HC on belsavis and had to kill 40 elites as bonus, it only gave me 6.4k, which is the same as a bonus quest for slaying 10 rats. |

The actual, literal bonus series for the planet is what I was talking about for great xp. |

RE: Quick Leveling Tips
Some great tips in here. The ones I've been using:
ALWAYS group with someone, preferable of another class (I've been levelling with my GF's Consular on my Knight) and help each other out in their story areas. It takes a little but of time, but makes it MUCH easier to complete and you both get some EXP from it. It's been said; do your quests in BATCHES (do all the quests in an area and do a mass hand-in at the end) and do ALL of the Bonus Quests along the way! They are basically free exp. When doing Flashpoints / Heroic 4 areas, remember to ALWAYS send your Companions on Missions, otherwise they aren't contributing to the game at all. Slicing! I know it's been nerfed since the Beta, but I'm only level 17 (almost 18) and I've made over 30k, mostly from Slicing. It's amazing! Cheers <PARADOX> I have no signature </PARADOX> |

RE: Quick Leveling Tips
Note that dismissing your companion and resummoning them only takes ~2 seconds, and restores them to maximum health while clearing all debuffs. This works even if they are dead. If outdoors, mounting up and immediately dismounting produces the same effect in less than half the time (mounting is a 0.5 second cast).

RE: Quick Leveling Tips
Here's some of mine, some have already been posted I'm sure but these are from a hardcore leveling standpoint:
Dont waste time! Standing around looking at the 'purty trees' is killing XP. Dont heal your companion post fight. Dismiss it and resummon it. Its faster. Dont buy (hardly) anything until lv25! Getting a speeder is the #1 goal. It makes a huge difference! DO sale your blues and purples on the GTN. Dont try to make a fortune on every peice, just sale it for speeder money. Its better to sale it for 1k creds then relist it 3 times and sale it for 1.5k creds. Do all the bonus series quests (the ones at the "end" of each planet). Great XP and doesnt take long at all. DO YOUR DAILIES! PvP and Space. And remeber you get new dailies every 10 levels. even if you done a PvP daily at lv18 then hit 20 that day, a new pvp mission will open up. Keep your companions gear upgraded. Atleast the 2 you use most. Aim for having all the mod-able gear you can, this does 2 things for you- no need to loot hunt for upgrades because of #2= use the comms for each planet to upgrade your mods. DO NOT go crazy with crew skill missions. Around mission lv25 they get a little expensive for a new player and the GTN isnt solid enough yet to have a constant return on craftables. If possible, get ahead of the 'mob'. Not having to compete for kills is wonderful for leveling speed. IF you are rushing to 50, do not waste time on Heroic+4 and flashpoints. If you can find a group fast, sure its ok. But they ARE NOT needed to have enough xp to reach 50. On my Sorc I only did 4-5 Heroic +2s (did NO +4s) during my entire leveling process. RE: Quick Leveling Tips
I'm still not really sold on the bonus series quests; they may be best for quick levelling (which admittedly is the purpose of this thread), but surely running them means you increasingly outlevel the content? Perhaps it's just that I need more of a challenge just in order to learn how to play properly...

RE: Quick Leveling Tips
I hit 50 sunday by doing:
1. Complete My class quests first on every planet to pick up all the quests and explore the FPs. Saved time by later not getting quests that sent you back to old area's to kill the same thing, and 95% of the time I got the quests to do stuff in the same dungeon as my class quest right away. Rarely I had to go back to where my class quest was, but it was still worth it. 2. Doing all the heroics, generally solo or with 1 other since I was alone on almost every planet after Balmora. 3. Leaving the planet as soon as the quests turned green. Hit 50, with all crafting skills maxed, 800k credits (after buying the lvl 50 mount/skill), all lvl 45+ gear/mods, and after taking over 800 screen shots with UI hidden/setting up the perfect shot - all in 3 days 10 hours played. It would be faster doing it with a group, but it seems that I came up with a pretty solid system - assuming you're trying to just power level through content. |

I've found that if you exhaustively complete one planet, you can generally do just the class quest on the next, then repeat. Good for replay value. Even Angels must kill from time to time...

RE: Quick Leveling Tips
Another advantage of doing the bonus series quest before moving on is you typically can go to the next planet one level 'ahead'. Which helps the questing there some, nothing huge but every little bit does help.
