Actually, there are quite some ways to regain energy adaequatly, so that you will be able to heal away a spike and regain energy fast enough.
Also you should keep in mind that we are talking here about amount of energy per second - which means that after a downtime of 20-30 second, you should be full again, *without* leaving combat.
I do not have any valid information about the BH/Trooper resource, but i assume that the enery-management won't be too punishing after all.
