Does talent "Independent Anarchy" (+5/10/15 AOE bonus dmg) work on XS Flyby / Orbital?

random question/ annoyance

When i am doing some pve bosses in BP or EV or whatever, i tend to get that target even if i am not the only cloaked person? Is it because i am too close before tank starts tanking or just because i am cloaked?

Actually I found a mistake and now it's 5th. I was using the numbers for the Sniper version of Cull, which is totally different. So Concealment is still #1 on my spreadsheet, with only Lightning Sorc left to do.

quick question about your speadsheet also... does it take into affect gear?

I am lethality spec now but i also have half rakata and half columni and i am definitely out dps'ing myself but not sure if i just understand lethality better than concealment

RE: Picking an advanced class: Agent
My experience lvling a sniper...currently lvl 48.

Level 1-30 i leveled as marksman spec. This spec is pretty basic and pretty boring. It gets the job done but feels lackluster to me. Also immobility is a turn off for me. PvE it works well for leveling but immobility can kill you often and when you move in this spec the dps drop is drastic. PvP in this spec is, in my opinion, only good on a few maps where you can setup shop and aren't noticed....which doesn't last for too long usually.

Level 31-40 I leveled as Engineer spec. I had alot of fun with this spec. Nothing beats making things go BOOM! Tongue. Mobility in this spec is a bit better than marksmen but i still felt too tied down. PvE with this spec is great also, not as reliable as marksman but definately more bursty. DPS did feel lacking though whenever your cooldowns were down (Interrogation Probe/Explosive Probe). PvP with this spec was amazing. You could burst almost anyone though its flashy and you get noticed quick (lots of booms Tongue ) which equates to you dying.

Level 41-current was leveled as Lethality. This is my most favorite overall spec and i feel is very similar playstyle wise to my DoT specced Bright Wizard in Warhammer Online (probably my fave class of all) Tongue.

PvE:This spec is an energy hog though so you need to play smart, or you will be out of energy before the mobs are dead. General pve rotation is ambush(opener), corrosive grenade, then make sure corrosive dart is on all targets. Then whenever corrosive grenade comes off of cooldown toss it on the one with the most health or where they are clustered closely together. Can toss in a Series of Shots whenever nessecary as well. Generally with this spec single enemies take longer to kill but your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th enemies will die at close to the same time.

PvP: with this spec is alot of fun and people will hate you. Generally what i do in pvp is find people clustered then corrosive grenade, frag grenade, orb strike when up and tab target corrosive dart. If there is anyone I ever decide i need to focus and get out of the fight whether it be a healer, tank, or a really annoying dps then i'll make sure both dots are up, drop into cover and hit them with explosive probe, weakening blast, and then cull. If they are not under 30% health I hit power shot or series of shots and takedown whenever they do get under 30%.

Well its obvious which spec I like. Tongue Maybe i'll get ambitious one of these days and write up something thats not all over the place.

RE: Imperial Agent & Smuggler - Simple Questions and Answers
I'm a Gunslinger DPS. I've leveled from 1-50 by using the Sharpshooter tree. I'm wondering, is that the tree I should be using now for PvE Operations? Or does it really matter?

Without a combat log or damage meters, it's difficult to tell which gunslinger spec is optimal -- all three are certainly viable for end-game operations. Simulations show that Sharpshooter, Saboteur, and Dirty Fighting are all in the same ballpark for sustained DPS (although the different specs have different advantages and disadvantages in different situations).

If you've played all this time as Sharpshooter, you're obviously familiar with it, so it's probably reasonable to assume you would generally perform best in that spec. Check out the Marksmaship Sniper/Sharpshooter Gunslinger Compendium for the current best information regarding optimizing for that spec.
