RE: SWTOR formula list
(10-31-2011 04:47 PM)Freehugs Wrote: Ability Damage = (AmountModifierPercent+1)*MainHand + (AmountModifierPercent+1)*OffHand*0.3 + Coefficient*DamageBonus + StandardHealthPercent*StandardHealth The descriptions of the variables are confusing, so let me ask if I've got straight what the variables are and where to find their values. Please, please, please, do correct me if I'm wrong. MainHand/Offhand - the average damage from the weapon tooltip. The value of this variable is the same for all of a character's abilities that deal weapon damage. If an ability does not deal weapon damage (i.e. it deals Force, Tech, Kinetic, or Elemental damage), this is 0. AmountModifierPercent - a coefficient that modifies the portion of the damage which comes from the weapon. This is different for each ability, but is uniform across all ranks of any given ability. Has anyone been able to make a list of what this value is for each ability? If not, how can I find out what this value is? DamageBonus - the total bonus from 'power' stats relative to each ability. So, for a Shadow's melee abilities, it would be the bonuses from Willpower, Power, and Strength; for a Shadow's force abilities, it would be the bonuses from Willpower, Power, and Force Power. The bonuses for Willpower and Strength are 0.2x the character sheet values, and the bonuses for Power and Force Power are 0.23x the character sheet values. The value of this variable is the same for all abilities used by a specific character. Coefficient - a coefficient that modifies the portion of the damage which comes from a character's stats. This is different for each ability, but is uniform across all ranks of any given ability. Like above, has anyone been able to make a list of what this value is for each ability? If not, how can I find out what this value is? StandardHealth - The base damage of an ability. This is dependent on the ability's rank, and each rank's value is based off of a table common to all abilities. The value of this variable is found in the "StandardHealth Lookup Table" next to the level at which the specific rank of the ability is learned. For example, a level 2 Consular would use the level 1 value of 180 for Double Strike, since that was when she was first able to learn her current rank of Double Strike. StandardHealthPercent - a coefficient that modifies the base damage of an ability (StandardHealth). This has the most confusing description - "which can vary for the min and max values of the ability". I also notice that it's the only coefficient description which lacks the phrase "for all ranks of the ability". So, this variable is different for each rank of each ability, and if the ability has a damage range (i.e. a minimum and maximum damage value in the tooltip), then this number will scale differently depending on where in the damage range your dice roll lands? That sounds like I'm misunderstanding something, so I'd appreciate some clarification. And, as before, how do I know what this value is? Thanks
