Most DPS/Healer classes (except Marauder/Sentinel and Assassin/Shadow) have talent point options that increase their primary stat by:
6% Juggernaut/Guardian, Sorcerer/Sage 9% Powertech/Vanguard, Mercenary/Commando, Operative/Scoundrel, Sniper/Gunslinger There is also the 5% Primary Stat class buff from Sith Inquisitor (SI) or Jedi Consular (JC). There is also the 5% Bonus Damage/Healing buff from Sith Warrior (SW) or Jedi Knight (JK) Based on the Formulae in the Original Post, these different % increases "should" affect the 18 Primary Stat Augment and I thought it might be interesting to compare these changes with the 18 Power Augment. 18 Primary Stat: 0% talents + 5% Stat buff (SI/JC) = 18.9 (3.969 Bonus Damage, 2.7783 Bonus Healing, 0.126%* Crit) 6% talents + 5% Stat buff (SI/JC) = 19.98 (4.1958 Bonus Damage, 2.9371 Bonus Healing, 0.133%* Crit) 9% talents + 5% Stat buff (SI/JC) = 20.52 (4.3092 Bonus Damage, 3.0164 Bonus Healing, 0.137%* Crit) *at the 1495 Primary Stat = 10% Crit mark Where as an 18 Power Augment would give a flat 4.347 Bonus Damage, 3.213 Bonus Healing. By taking the Primary Stat Augment over the Power Augments the result would be: 0% talents + 5% Stat buff (SI/JC) = -0.3780 Bonus Damage, -0.4347 Bonus Healing, +0.126%* Crit 6% talents + 5% Stat buff (SI/JC) = -0.1512 Bonus Damage, -0.2759 Bonus Healing, +0.133%* Crit 9% talents + 5% Stat buff (SI/JC) = -0.0378 Bonus Damage, -0.1966 Bonus Healing, +0.137%* Crit *at the 1495 Primary Stat = 10% Crit mark The following is a comparison of these losses and gains, in % change terms, on the amount of Bonus Damage, Bonus Healing and Crit Rating you would have from your Primary Stat (at the 1495 Primary Stat mark). 1495 Primary Stat: Bonus Damage: 313.95 (299 without SW/JK buff) Bonus Healing: 219.76 (209.3 without SW/JK buff) Crit Rating: 10.0% 0% talents + 5% Stat buff (SI/JC) = -0.378 Bonus Damage, -0.4347 Bonus Healing, +0.126% Crit Taking Primary Stat over Power Augment means: 0.12% loss to Bonus Damage, 0.198% loss to Bonus Healing, 1.26% gain to Crit (In % change terms) 6% talents + 5% Stat buff (SI/JC) = -0.1512 Bonus Damage, -0.2759 Bonus Healing, +0.133% Crit Taking Primary Stat over Power Augment means: 0.048% loss to Bonus Damage, 0.126% loss to Bonus Healing, 1.33% gain to Crit (In % change terms) 9% talents + 5% Stat buff (SI/JC) = -0.0378 Bonus Damage, -0.1966 Bonus Healing, +0.137% Crit Taking Primary Stat over Power Augment means: 0.012% loss to Bonus Damage, 0.089% loss to Bonus Healing, 1.37% gain to Crit (In % change terms) Note: If you were to replace currently equipped Power Augments with Primary Stat Augments the % change increase to Crit would be slightly lower, as you are gaining more overall of your Primary Stat which would mean less Crit per point. |
