RE: SWTOR formula list
I took the formulas in the OP and worked them into a gear comparison spreadsheet. It's not 100% done by any means, but the basics for comparing gear are there. I'm putting it out now for review and criticism. Please feel free to let me know of any bugs, omissions or improvements. I'm looking for feedback.
The spreadsheet can be found here: Google docs link Some notes/instructions on usage: The "Character" sheet is where the actual comparisons are done. All tan fields on that sheet require input. You must know (or be able to derive) your datacron bonuses for each stat. If you have % bonuses for stats/heals/damage, they must be entered on their own line (labeled "spec %). Ranged/Tech/Force/Melee comparisons are done for each class, but obviously not applicable to all, so ignore those that don't apply to you. You can select abilities to see the effects on individual casts as well as the theoretical output over 100 seconds, but currently the only working abilities are 4 max rank Commando heals, 2 rank 1 Sage heals and max rank Stock Strike. I'm in the process of calculating and adding more. Select gear through drop down menus for each slot. Any gear that is currently in the spreadsheet that have mods/enhancements/etc. in them by default are entered with the mods/enhancements/etc. included. For empty orange gear or other gear in which they modifications have been altered, use the 2 "custom" areas on the sheet for the appropriate slot. Gear lists are very incomplete right now, and cumbersome to scroll through when selecting gear, so any input on improvements on this area would be most welcome. In the interest of not posting a wall of text, I'll leave it at that. Hopefully what was left unsaid will be self-explanatory enough to figure out. If not, feel free to ask. I look forward to some helpful feedback! EDIT: updated to include new surge formula, attached spreadsheet |
