RE: Damage and Healing formula
Thanks LagunaD et al for brining so much light to damage calculations! I used the following Nodeviewer, but it seems to be incorrectly parsing my .tor files. :/

RE: Damage and Healing formula
If you're referring to the hexidecimal notation in the left colum, where normally there would be a name, that's how Nodeviewer displays nowadays. Bioware removed the client.blob file that defined the name for most of those fields several patches ago. Unfortunately, there's not much we can do about it. Basically, that looks precisely how the Nodeviewer normally looks.
By the way, the green_ or red_ files were old beta files, they are not used anymore, and lack of their presence simply means you weren't in the Beta, or did a clean re-install since. Even Angels must kill from time to time...

RE: Damage and Healing formula
Some great info posted so thanks a lot to the OP but one thing i wanted to clarify for sure is does surge rating only apply to damaging attacks or does it also have any affect on healers spells?
The Price of kitchen cabinet is affordable at The RTA Store which is difficult to resist. |

RE: Damage and Healing formula
Surge affects any crited ability, whether it is a damaging attack or a healing spell. Surge is nice for everyone.

RE: Damage and Healing formula
When it comes to healing, I have the option between Attack Adrenals (+x power) and Triage Adrenals (+x force/tech power, -50% dmg). The amount is the same on each, and (according to experience and other threads) power and force/tech power have the same impact on healing - so as a healer, wtf would I actually want to use a triage adrenal? There seems to be no actual benefit to using it, just a penalty. I'm weighting making my Rakata Adrenal, and I am leaning Attack even though I'm a healer because Triage seems to make no sense to me, since the amount is the same on both. Anyone have any thoughts on that?
