RE: Vengeance DPS Compendium
Hey guys the Vengeance/Vigilance guide has been updated for launch. I won't be updating this any further as I'll be playing an operative/marauder. If you feel like you would be a good candidate to take over, please PM one of the mods and let them know of your interest. This is a great community but it's only as good as the people who participate, so if you think you can add to that, please help us all out here and jump on board!! =)

RE: Vengeance DPS Compendium
Was wondering, Some attacks have in tool tip Standard and weak enemies are affected but forexample stun etc. How is that translated towards players ? Is a PC a standard enemy ?

RE: Vengeance DPS Compendium
Couldn't help but notice that there's some concern over ability scaling for weapon/non-weapon attacks; I suspect that that's largely misplaced since the same (mostly hidden) stat on weapons that generates weapon damage ALSO adds force/tech power as appropriate. The implication is that melee and ranged attacks use weapon DPS, while force and tech abilities will get their weapon boost via force and tech power. It's no guarantee they're scaled right, of course. Just that the attempt is being made.
And I notice that the lightsabers, sniper rifles, and what-have-yous don't bother to display the DPS-to-power bonus from a weapon on TORHead; all I know is that it did show in the equipped item's tooltip during the last two beta weekends. I did not take note of what effect, if any, an off-hand weapon had on power. I'd guess ~30%, but that's all it is: a guess. It seems pretty clear, however, that something like this has to happen or weapons would be huge for some specs and almost useless for others; sages and sorcerors would either have to have huge scaling from stats or be left in the dust by the other DPS classes, who all hit their opponents with the weapon sometimes. |

RE: Vengeance DPS Compendium
Looking at the compendium I am curious, is Master Strike/Ravage still not worth it at the higher levels? I only have made it to level 26 so I am curious if I should avoid using it soon, early levels it was one of a few abilities I had so I was using it frequently.

RE: Vengeance DPS Compendium
Ravage at low levels rocks man so keep using it. In operations level gear you will cease using it as your other abilities hit harder, or generate rage.

RE: Vengeance DPS Compendium
I'm not sure if this is an oversight or my own misunderstanding, but Savagery/Force Rush have a 100% proc rate when talented 2/2 (and not 50% as written in the OP). As such every Force Scream/Blade Storm should be a crit if the heavy hitters are always used on CD.

RE: Vengeance DPS Compendium
From what i've seen so far master strike is good if you're running low on resource and you can sunder ->master ->sunder and get back into your normal rotation. It doesn't happen too often but its good filler. Much rather use that than use strike.

RE: Vengeance DPS Compendium
Pooling rage with sundering assault/assault so that your heavy hitters are always on CD is more important that using ravage. Assault's worth isn't in it's damage, but it's ability to gen rage for impale/shatter etc.
Ravage would only ever be used if you're above 10 rage and everything is on CD and won't come off CD in the next 3 seconds, which is never going to happen imo. |
