i think I might love you...

seriously though this answers a NUMBER of questions that have been bugging me for quite some times, namely things like wtf is Force Shroud, answer? the most OP tank skill i've seen in a while Big Grin complete removal of ALL dispellable debuffs and 5 seconds of total Tech/force resistance... on a (talented) 45sec CD YES PLEASE Big Grin

not sure about Deflection, Melee and Ranged Defense by 50% sounds awesome... but what exactly does Defense DO?

Assassin's training is epic, and will help boost our stam to tanky levels, always a good thing

Blackout is rather spiffy, might be useful for helping us sneak up on bosses and Maul pull?

god I can't wait for this game....

Hmm wow, so a 50% increase to defence would improve out avoidance by a large amount, and reduce damage taken by spells? sounds pretty spiffy Big Grin

Deflection improves 'melee and ranged defence', which might not include defence against force attacks, however.

true true, we have Force Shroud for that. So does 'Defence' on gear effect everything, and then when it specifies 'Melee/ranged defence' that is a specific type? Does this all show on the character sheet?

I like how we won't have to invest in Corruption to get the coolest healing/resurrection abilities. So, even a fully DPS-specced Sorc will still be able to heal and resurrect if need be (though, of course, with lesser efficiency than a Corruption-specced dedicated healer).

Also, Force Storm seems interesting. I was wondering about that ability, which I saw on some vids previously. Weird that so few of the leaked talents seem to affect\improve it (well, Lightning Storm comes to mind).

I have a few questions about FS though. 1) Is the damage given per tick, or per cast? If the former, we may have a contender for a place in the rotation; if the latter, no chance of that, unfortunately. 2) Why is there no cooldown indicated? Could it be possible that it doesn't have a cooldown? Naaah....

The damage listed will be per cost, as it says it deals '447 – 576 energy damage over 6 seconds' not '447 – 576 energy damage every second for 6 seconds'. It's possible that it does indeed have no cooldown, as it is still a terribly expensive ability. The SW:TOR developers do seem to be going for more ways of discouraging ability use than merely cooldowns, such as by applying high resource costs.

100 force is not expensive when you have talents like Lightning Effusion, which presumably can lower force costs by 50%-100%.

Anyway, even if the damage is counted as a whole over 6 seconds, this still may be better than FL, which is listed as 153 damage to 1 target with a 3 second cooldown. And we know what a powerhouse FL can be, with up to almost 2000 damage per cast on a high level char. If FS grows at the same rate, its damage would be insane. Too bad the numbers given in the leaked list are somewhat abstract.
