RE: Carnage discipline discussion
I had chosen Carnage skill tree for myself as well. Didn't read any guides or threads, just analyzed all the trees and the type of DPS I want to do and chose Carnage.
Currently (and all the time before) it's a breeze. Massacre spam, rotation with Gore, Ravage, Force Scream, ragebuilding with Battering Assault and (rarely) Assault and my favourite - Berserk + Rakata Critical Relic + Massacre Spam. I'm going mostly crit & surge and currently my bonus stats are: Bonus Dmg : 280 Accuracy: 99% Critical Chance: 32% Critical Multiplier: 87% And yeah, I've noticed DR on these and mostly was questioning myself (after looking at Tier armor and weaponry) - why would we, carnage marauders, need so much accuracy and power? I mean, with my current bonus stats and gear (some columi parts, some orange with epic mods 50, some crafted epic things) only few people on the realm can barely match my DPS. I can understand gaining some bonus power now - but not exchanging my crazy crit and surge rates for it. Why would I? My crits are just insane, I overthreat very fast if I intend do (thx force camo for keeping me alive). I'm looking forward to hear more practice than theory on this matter. Has any1 compared real DPS with crit/surge based gear to accuracy/power based? And also balanced one? Best regards. |
