RE: Tank Abilities List
Allegedly, Inquisitors/Consulars have a base 10% defence chance and Warriors/Knights have base 5%, even before AC- or spec-specific buffs.

I noticed that my Powertech (Shield Tech) had a 5.00% melee and ranged dodge chance, and I was in the level 20 range with no Defense gear. Warriors/Knights must share the 5% base with Powertech then.

I've also answered my own question further back in the thread. I was curious how Defense would work for the one tanking class that didn't have a lightsaber to parry/deflect attacks. My character sheet didn't even have parry/deflect as a defensive stat, instead they were replaced by melee dodge/ranged dodge. The Defense stat appears to work the exact same way for all classes, but they've allowed it to have different labels and animations for flavor.

RE: Tank Abilities List
Yeah I wondered how they would handle that Mesrith, but realised that just having PT's not able to parry/deflect would leave them horribly gimpedTongue.

Also do we have any conformation on Inq/Con's having 10% defense base, compared to the SW/BH's 5%?

Gorodetski, I think that's something to test in the weekend!

Indeed, Mesrith. The developers actually mentioned somewhere that this was part of the reason for the two-roll system, as it allowed them to more easily carry out all the permeatations of avoidance in the synched combat animations.

There's a two roll system Alratan?

RE: Tank Abilities List
Yes. I would find a source, but the swtor forum is down, at present. First roll is for hit or miss (miss including defense, parry, etc.). Second roll for crit, shield or normal damage.

Aye that's the plan, I've got a longass list of things to test, and that's pretty high up Wink

sadly... alot of these things are related to combat logs, which aren't in, making it all 1000x harder to test Tongue
