Well, idk how many more will show up, but I'm trying to spread the word. I know I've at least talked one other guildie into looking foward to SWTOR and told him about this site. But with how SOE is handling their issues, I'd be suprised if they ever make a rebound in the online gaming industry.<img src="/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-confused.gif" alt="Confused" />

Hi, guys,

I have been a gamer for as long as I remember and I've been hardcore at almost every game I've ever played. My experience with MMO's starts and ends with WoW. I have never been a fan of games I cannot beat (on my own) so it is quite surprising to me I spent 5 years in the world of Azeroth. All I know is raiding as that was the only way I saw I can "complete" the game. I was part of a top raiding guild and killed every boss in the game until I realised that this is a neverending story and it's time to part.

I played a Mage and that was the only character I created, levelled and played on for all those 5 years. I knew (and still know) the class as the back of my hand and contributed towards the Mage community both by theorycrafting on EJ as well as by tutoring fellow Mages through videos, AddOns, tips and advice.

My intentions for SW:TOR are still unclear to me, as it is likely I won't be able to experience the game at the level I did in WoW due to time constraints and too many unknowns about the endgame. What I know for certain is that if I play the game I will be a Sith Sorcerer DPS, as I have been a Wizard, Sorcerer etc. in all of the games I've played. Also, I am a massive Star Wars fan and have much hatred towards the Jedi Order because of the way they treated "The Chosen One", hence the evil counterpart of the class. And most importantly and what I will definitely focus on is theorycrafting. I can help out with the math, so if you have data you want analysed and/or checked send it to me and I will respond when I find the time.

This seems like a great community, so keep up the good work and I guess I'll see you around.

It is great to hear you are a theorycrafter, and I'm confident you will be a welcome addition to our ranks. I admire your dedication to WoW and especially to your Mage character for 5 years. That is amazing!

I too played a Mage as my main in WoW long ago, after my rogue but before my DK. The DK ended up being my newest main. I have played WoW on/off since I was in beta. I raided too early on, but like you I had RL constraints that lessened my hard-core'ness.

No, I think this game is about Star Trek, easy to get the two mixed up, with the whole Star-thingie. I will be playing a Sith-Vulcan Pureblood.
