Personally, I do not like how CC is available in PVP. However, you can use your 2 min cooldown ability to get out one. That's not what I'm talking about here though.

This post is about abilities in PVP that knock the other player down, and make him unable to cast or click anything for several seconds. There are way too many CC abilites, but at least everyone has a counter-ability every 2 mins. What is the counter to the mele classes that lock you down and make you unable to cast anyting? It is extreemely frustrating for them to be able to lock you down with free reign to do whatever they want. Especially when 5 seconds is enough for some mele classes to put you in low HP range 1370 expertise or not.

I can imagine other classes such as sorcerors being frustrated as well. As a Mercenary, I am also frustrated with not having answers to these attacks. I would either like them to give Mercs a knockdown ability as well; possibly put a 2 sec knockdown on our AE Knockback ability, or else give us something to counter this complete lockout.

There is no skill in pushing a button and completely locking another player out of casting anything. That is not fun at all; just frustrating. I am sad that Mercenaries went from being such a fun class to PVP as, to liabilities on rated teams.

Since this post essentially just boils down to a giant complaint, rather than actually providing anything to truly discuss, I'm going to lock this thread. Please note that unlike the official SWTOR forums, we do have a requirement on these boards that posts have content worthy of discussion. Complaining about something none of us can change does not qualify.
