Leveling a Jugg
So I started my next alt (Currently have Sorc and Merc at 50).
I will be leveling this guy with a fair bit of help from my 2 level 50s feeding him stuff. My merc is a biochem so he'll be feeding stims/medpacks/adrenals and implants. My Sorc is artifice so he'll be feeding enhancements. I will be leveling as DPS, but I am unsure which spec I should go. Is there much of a difference between Rage and Vengence for leveling or is it mainly based on playstyle? When feeding my alt adrenals and enhancements, which stats should I focus on? Is power the safest bet or should I up crit/surge Thanks for your input

RE: Leveling a Jugg
You should go vengeance until 40, rage after 40. Rage is based around having stacks of shockwave to extremely strong smash crits, but the main way to get shockwave stacks is through the lvl 40 rage ability. Still rage is a primarily aoe spec so it's not going to be terrible even before lvl 40, just for the crit smash without shockwave, but still I'd go vengeance first.
Turning the question to marauders... what do marauders think is the best way to lvl one? I imagine that like juggernauts, 40+ rage will be best but for the lower lvls I'm having trouble deciding. Annihilation has nice self heals and presumably higher damage but the fact that it's all based on dots makes it weak for lvling where things die so quick. On the other hand it looks like carnage has the same problem Rage does - being very weak without it's lvl 40 talent. Dorfl/Coriolis of No One Cares, Shadow Hand |

Just take a look and actually read through the talent trees. Even though they shook up the trees in 1.2 and some talents that were in one tree are now in another, it still seems fairly obvious to me that in general, Vengeance is for PvE, Rage is for PvP. Shien form maximizes dps, like you would need in pve, is found in the Vengeance tree. Talents in the Rage tree buff Shii-Cho form, which is much more suited for PvP. Shii-Cho Mastery near the top of the Rage tree buffs armor penetration. Armor pen isn't totally useless for PvE, but isn't something you should look to obtain. At all. There are no talents in the Vengeance tree that buff Shii-Cho form. If there was a Juggernaut in Shii-Cho form in my raid, I'd seriously question his understanding of how his class works. I'd expect to see a Juggernat PvP'ing in Shii-Cho form however. As mentioned by Coriolis, the Rage tree buffs aoe dmg greatly, but that's not something that will bring very big numbers in a boss fight. If you aim to run operations and PvE mostly, Vengeance is the tree for you without a doubt. |

RE: Leveling a Jugg
I leveled my sentinel Focus, and it ate through everything very fast. the added target from slash with zen up is amazing, and the force sweep would just about one shot all standard mobs, and it only gets better the more points you put into it.
