Imperial Trooper companion for the Sith Warrior

I think the companions are 5 from the info I've gathered from forums. As for vette, they prefer to call her pirate (like the ia companion that they call assassin). While this can be just a name, it strikes me as the companions are very specialized. Darth Hater also suspects that Vette is damage dealer with some cc and Pierce is the tank companion (well, of course a juggernaut can spec into a tank, but so can the si, and he still has a tank companion that was featured in e3).

 

The mobs in the demo seemed to die too easy and it's only natural to assume that they decreased the difficulty for new players to get familiar faster. 

 

I don't really doubt that there will be a real support companion though. They have talked about healer companions too much to not give them to a class that actually scales with healing (for example juggernaut tank gains rage when getting hit).  I may be wrong though.

 

Edit: Just found out that companions have kit slots that gives them abilities, like grenade kit, medipak kit etc. I still think there will be a dedicated support companion or perhaps there are limitations on the kits a companion can have, but it's something.

Vette seems to be based on the smuggler class so she might have a healing skill and one is all you need any way. Also when you watch the video's with pierce in it you don't seem to be needing a tank yet at that level (if i remeber correctly it was between lvl 20-30). There will be 8 companions total so 1 representing each task i suspect. For the Sith Warrior healer will mostlikely be an endgame companion and tank might not even exist. The reason i think this is becouse the Juggernaut is a heavy armour user so he shouldn't need a tank and the Marauder will most likely be able to handle some dmg to. Healers are in most RPG's an end-game must yet at the lower lvls there relatively useless especialy since i think i heared (and i can't remember were) that every class will have a "out of combat self heal" to reduce downtime.

I think that they're not gone show to mutch high lvl stuff. There has to be something to discover for your self otherwise the game will be borring.

Sounds a bit odd to me actually. We know about 2 companions for the sw, vette and pierce, and they are both ranged. So I guess pierce is the tank companion, vette is the damage dealing (although i didnt see pierce tanking anything in the video, but it may as well be due to companions being bugged)

 

I really want to see the healer companion. Hopefully there is one ;p

Players at E3 are confirming Lieutenant Pierce is an Imperial Trooper companion for the SIth Warrior. Hot stuff!

dont forget that we get some sort of apprentice companion, too. though I havent seen a warrior with this type of companion yet, there's this jedi sentinel (marauder mirror) video and this guy got a JC type of companion. I guess there are some healing abilities, too for this comp.

Jaesa Willsam is our "apprentice" companion , she's a Dark Jedi with double-bladed lightsaber

I am not sure about the rest of companions but if i recall right she is the only melee oriented companion so far

Vette - smugler like DPS/heal

Lt.Pierce- trooper like ranged tank/ DPS

Jaesa Willsam - Assassin like melee tank/DPS

Some droid which acts as range dps

Some alien dude which we have little info about.

And last companion is your ship maintence droid which everyone gets
