Internal/Elemental are not mitigated by armor, Kinetic/Energy are mitigated by armor. Hence the difference in damage amounts of the between these categories of relics. I believe it is safe to assume your crit/surge rates are controlled by the corresponding amounts of your crit/surge. I use the energy trinket, higher proc damage vs the unmitigated Internal/Elemental damage due to stance and available armor debuffs on the boss at the time of proc. 5X sunder armor, 5X heat signature, 1X sniper debuff thing = 75% armor penetration coupled with my personal 35% high velocity gas cylinder. This however does not equate to a -10% armor penetration per testing, it is 35% of the debuffed armor amount. Ray, I honestly wouldn't worry about getting to 108, it will come with gear whether you want it or not. I am working my hardest to shed accuracy from rakata gear in hopes of seeing a miss to get some sort of gauge of where the illusive hit cap is located.
