I'm going to be looking for a proper target for the new Expertise amount, but my understanding is that we want as much Expertise as we can. To bad twats on the official forums still cry about "jugger damage gets nerfed to the ground" etc, instead of understanding how to properly play their class following the updates in gu 1.2 : p Well the jugger i mentioned earlier is a very good player, but i met him recently and topped him using your setup, so i won't claim him to be superior to you in those regards, but if you see Janro from Bloodworthy, you could make up your own mind ^^ RE: Guardian/Juggernaut - Focus/Rage DPS - Pander Beers - 04-12-2012 04:24 AM Skroting, from my point of view, there are few things sweeter than hearing someone using my guide to wreck shop on someone they used to look up to. I ask everyone that's checking this guide to give me a few days, as being a GM - I have some time critical items to sort out going into the release of 1.2. However, I will be trying to update the guide little by little as I can. I'm aiming for Sunday to have my guide at least updated for gear optimization. My Jugg only hit 43 before 1.2 updated, I hope Rage won't get hit too hard now, into a Gear-Dependant role, cuz then I have to respec my Grind-suit. xD Found this tree to be very fun and -extremely- effective to level as. I'm out :/ Alratan, the site owner, is getting someone else to step in and take care of the guide, I believe. If anything, the guide just needs updating on numbers. The core of it is still the same. If I come back later, I'll do a total revamp of my baby. I've recently been playing my Juggernaut again and I wanted to stimulate some conversation. Since 1.2 I have some questions:
Overall, I'm fairly happy with 1.2. I thought we'd get hit a lot harder with the nerf bat, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Been trying to go for a more tanky setup, with using the Soresu form and keeping up guard on my healers etc. The specc looks like; http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#500zZfzMZGr0ddfRMfz.1 I find this to be very helpfull, atleast since i feel the TTK has gone down alot, having the extra survivability is very nice. Added bonus of being able to throw guard on a healer for added longevity on their part, giving me more healing in return (arguement to be made on wether or not i'd need as much without guard ofc ;p), and the extra selfheal through our new ability. 2. As you were saying, i've been using it alot more recently aswell, having gotten crits with the single slash of our master strike high enough to rival a few of my smashes, i really feel like this is an ability worth using, but only if i can be sure it will land. (enemy slowed/rooted and pref with myself white-barred) 3. I won't speculate much on BiS, since i never reached BiS pre 1.2 either, just barely managed to get myself to rank 61 before the patch went live. Anyhow, Jeanne listed the best mods and enhancements, so i can't imagine anything else than those in all slots, while getting the Might Augment in every augment slot. 4. Again, never got far on theorizing on gear before the patch, but for the moment i'm going with expertise
