As in (0.8)^2 ?

Precisely.

To put it in layman's terms:

Let's say one leap is 20% of 100%, so 80%. The next would be 20% of 80%. So 64%

Quote:I use the following keybinds:
Main Quick Bar: 1-4, Q, E, X, C, R, T, F, Z
Bottom Quick Bar: Shift + all above
Right Quick Bar: Ctrl + all above
Left Quick Bar: Alt + all above

-Main and bottom bars are used mainly for offensive combat abilities. I had all slots filled at level 50.
-Right bar is used specialty abilities/spells/items: stances, guard, buffs, quest item usage, hutt ball throwing, etc - at level 50 I had 8/12 slots of this bar filled with abilities/spells I'd use on occasion.
-Left bar is used for situational spells/abilities/items: defensive cooldowns, pots, relic usage, regen, etc - at level 50
11/12 of the slots were used.

Leveled 2 warriors to 50, 1 to level 45. Beta Tester since August 2011.

I use a Razer Naga & do it slightly different. Whilst I haven't hit 50 it isn't hard to work out what abilities you will be using & set up action bars & key binds. Here's my Jedi knight's action bars. Top is 1-=, bottom is same with Shift modifier & right is random stuff depending on what feels natural for abilities. Left isn't there as it will be population with companion abilities, relics & anything other random thing that fits & use a Ctrl modifier:

Edit: just had a look at that pic & I have decided to swap some abilities around. Master Strike & Blade Storm have swapped spots for example.

I'm curious as to the viability of the Guardian/Juggernaut in terms of PvE dps. Does anyone know at this point? I assume that as they get a larger pool of players and a bigger group of people shouting on the forums, we will see things shifted around and rebalanced.

Also, for leveling purposes, is taking a tank/dps hybrid approach to make my life a little easier going to make me a huge pain for the healers if I'm tanking flashpoints along the way?

I apologize if these are answered elsewhere. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer on either subject.

A month or so ago I was convinced that the Guardian/Juggernaut wouldn't be able to keep up with the Sentinel/Marauder in PvE DPS but more recently I've run some numbers on their attacks and rotations and found I was wrong.

The result was this:
Sentinel/Marauder, as a PvE DPS class, has more utility, survivability, more controllable burst damage and better AoE. They are a better PvE DPS class. However the Guardian/Juggernaut can keep up with and may even exceed them at single target sustained damage. In fact in boss fights with a lot of AoE damage and good up time for melee (i.e. you're not spending the fight running about avoiding things) I expect the Vigilance Guardian/Vengeance Juggernaut will out DPS everyone.

what kind of damage are DoTs ?

elemental/ bleed is an Force attack ? based on Force Power stat or is it Surge ?

Force is Kinetic Damage, bleeds damage is based on your Force Power, but causes internal damage, ignoring armor. Surge increases your critical hit damage.

Got me curious - could you share your math ?
Did some DPS predictions to judge SA/JShadow specs, and using the premises below (see quote below) got to over 1.5k sustained DPS.

I'm no expert on SS/JSages, but I know they have some super-sustainable DPS specs - either by at least a moderat amount of investment into Madness, or by burning PVP consumables to refill their huge 600 Force pulls with deep Lightning.

  • Liberal rounding

Anyone have advice on leveling specs?

I'm currently leveling as an Immortal spec (swapping forms when appropriate, but usually staying in the DPS form to keep rage generation up).

Would I be better off leveling with a more DPS focused spec?

Hi All,

Has anyone else noticed that Shield generator still does not seem to be functional? I remember a while back in beta it was broken. Has anyone noticed if it is functional? I was thinking about it today and I don't recall seeing it proc at all last night. Sorry if this is the wrong thread, but I'm unable to start a new one quite yet as I just registered. Anyway, any info would be helpful!

Thanks!

This may be a question on the level of turning your computer on/off, but are you sure that you are in Soresu Form? Shields only work whilst in the tanking stance for that class.
