RE: Foreman Crusher - Coriolis - 01-28-2012 04:45 AM Juggernaut tank, we also just killed him on 8man HM on our first attempt with 1 tank. -40% damage on first, 50% parry/deflect on second, def trinket/absorb adrenal on the last, and then cycle back, I think we killed him after 4 frenzies. No other defensive abilities used by the raid, but it was still pretty trivial. And for positioning you definetly want to put your back to the force field (where the adds will spawn) and do a smash or sweeping strike when they come out. RE: Foreman Crusher - Lysaira - 03-07-2012 10:31 PM Something worth noting that I haven't seen mentioned, is the dust clouds left by the falling rocks. These place a significant debuff on your healing and accuracy if you get too close to them, makes life very hairy as a healer if you move out of a rock fall and then have a giant dust cloud between you and your safe spot by a wall just before a knockback

A Juggernaut/Guardian tank can 50% parry/deflect for the first frenzy, 40% damage reduction for the second, Marauder/Sentinel uses Obfuscate/Pacify on the third, repeat. Powertech Oil Slick is on a one minute cooldown, and grants 20% accuracy reduction for 18 seconds. This lasts the entire Frenzy, and if you have 15%+ Defense you're dodging 45%+ of the time. Our DPS also use their accuracy debuffs during this stage. I take very few hits tanking him. This makes the fight pretty straightforward. Hoping to try this on Nightmare Mode this week
RE: Foreman Crusher - Cryfor - 03-08-2012 09:44 PM Obfuscate/Pacify dont work on any boss since patch 1.1.3 or 1.1.2, dont remember. good to know that the powertech/vanguard debuff still works :> RE: Foreman Crusher - Rooks - 03-08-2012 09:51 PM (03-08-2012 09:44 PM)Cryfor Wrote: Obfuscate/Pacify dont work on any boss since patch 1.1.3 or 1.1.2, dont remember. I specifically specced my vanguard 11/2/28 for fights like this, or for harder fights as we geared up/progressed (also became handy when I learned the pattern on Karagga's Cluster Bombs). I wonder if BW will move Smoke Grenade out of reach of hybrids, or if they're fine with this utility (the DPS loss isn't too bad when you consider the advantages). RE: Foreman Crusher - Cryfor - 03-08-2012 11:57 PM i think its fine that way, i don't know actually how high powertech/vanguard dps are atm, but from my feelings its okay to have a little dps loss for that utility. Oil slick is the 3rd tier talent in the Shield Tech Tree. I could be wrong but I don't believe powertech DPS is able to pick up this ability. Sure you can, just not in an optimal dps-output spec. If you don't have a powertech/vanguard tank in your raid and are wiping to deaths rather than enrage, it's actually a pretty good idea. You can spec 11/2/28 or so and get oil slick as well as combust to help your tanks out. And the DPS loss is nearly negligible. All you're missing out on is 3-4 points in the Tactics/AP tree that do help, but we're not talking a 10% DPS loss here. |
