RE: Sith Sorcerer/Jedi Sage DPS Compendium - Sujin - 12-07-2011 06:13 AM I haven't tested it, Serpentis did (scroll up and it is at the end of his post). RE: Sith Sorcerer/Jedi Sage DPS Compendium - Kaedis - 12-07-2011 08:46 AM Rumors on the official forums are saying that Force Lightning may now be affected by Parasitism and Deathmark, though no evidence has been put forward. This should be a test priority when we get a chance. This should be a test priority when we get a chance. If that was true, then Force Storm ticks would be effected as well. Hard to see how it could be true. RE: Sith Sorcerer/Jedi Sage DPS Compendium - Kaedis - 12-07-2011 09:47 AM Not necessarily, Sujin. For example, in WoW, Drain Life is considered a DoT, but Rain of Fire is not. However, that likely would imply that Innervate is similarly classified, which could have repercussions for Corruption. RE: Sith Sorcerer/Jedi Sage DPS Compendium - Sujin - 12-07-2011 11:13 AM New version of SaSoCalc has been posted. I still need to figure out how to model Wrath / Deathmark / Lightning Storm and Lightning Barrage and really need to make an in-road into this whole Force efficiency issue. RE: Sith Sorcerer/Jedi Sage Lightning/Telekinetics Compendium - dragonfell - 12-09-2011 05:19 AM I have a question in reference to cast time and GCD. In world of warcraft reducing a spells cast time below GCD yields no dps benefit because the player is left waiting for GCD before they can re-cast thus GCD theoreticly forms a cap for haste. In Wow however this was circumvented by allowing haste to affect the GCD for caster classes. With Alacrity having no effect on GCD does it then fail to increase dps on spells with cast times lower than 1.5? Or is this effect avoided by when GCD starts i.e. At press, at release, or at the end of activation? RE: Sith Sorcerer/Jedi Sage Lightning/Telekinetics Compendium - Kaedis - 12-09-2011 06:05 AM Alacrity has been found to affect the GCD at least for cast time abilities (data suggests it does not for instacast and channeled abilities). Would it be possible to get a source link for this sir. RE: Sith Sorcerer/Jedi Sage Lightning/Telekinetics Compendium - dragonfell - 12-09-2011 10:21 AM Agreed thank you very much for your quick respons times. So it basicly boils down too alacrity increasing the dps of spells with activation times and not for instants. Also would this mean that with a cap of 30% on alacrity that the minimum gcd time for casted abilities is 1.045? |
