RE: Madness/Balance Sorcerer DPS Compendium - Malfurius - 02-24-2012 01:04 PM Had a few questions concerning gearing- I'm not sure if its this post or the lightning but there was talk of pulling mods out of Operative gear for Power/ Crit enhancements but then another person was saying Crit/ Surge.. Has the debate been settled on this? Also is the exceptional Rakata trinkets better then the matrix shard or just the power one and matrix shard? Ty in advance... O last question since I dont have excel is Lightning or hybrid madness higher dps in ops? In fact, some idiot demonstrated that pairing the proc relics was the best possible DPS before someone reminded him that they share an internal cooldown and thus can't be used together. A traditional 19/22 spec is going to lose a lot of dps (probably 10-15% minimum) compared to 13/28. Whether you can use it in PvE, however, is entirely up to your guild and how difficult of content you're planning on doing (and how willing they are to carry). But considering changing them out for pvp gear(mods from other pvp gear, sadly havent gotten hold of any armoring yet. Quite hard for a non raider. strictly pvp here . To give an example, before the change i got 472 expertise, 9,8%.the stats they give end127 wp 196 crit10 power 34 the pvp items give, champion fmaster bracer and stalker belt(i wanted to keep end/wp as high as possible) exp 92 end 112 wp 154 crit 10 pow 10 so 92 expertise(went to 11,08 %) for end 15 wp 42 pow 24 I guess if i get some better armorings(maybe future patches?) they might end up better? Also I went with the 13/28 spec and noticed a big difference overall, but was wondering with the new patch and the one coming up am i still okay with the 3 master and 2 mystic set or should I go all master? The power one is much better because critical rating has diminishing returns, and so the better geared you are the less you will get from that crit relic. Power has no diminishing returns. A mix of PvP/PvE is best, since after ~550 expertise the stat starts to get weaker due to DR. Note this is assuming equal item level, like a Champion piece (136) is always better than a Tionese piece (124), unless there are augments involved, then it isn't an easy comparison. Crit/Surge will always be weaker than Power due to DR, especially now that Surge has been weakened. |
